Mike shrugs up at her. Swallows around the thing in his chest and tries to not think about Will’s eyes, Will’s voice. If he doesn’t answer she’s going to be more suspicious and then keep poking at him, but Mike needs a second if he doesn’t want to vomit his feelings at her feet.
“End of the world,” he says finally, shrugging again. “We’ve already got a plan, so- so what’s left to say?”

Summary
The coughing curse, the coughing flower curse, he'd heard ‘hanahaki’ but that was a more foreign name. It wasn't rare, per say, but it was something to shut up about and hide, to deal with on your own.
If you could.Will had always believed it to be magical. Romantic. Beautiful in a way he couldn't bring to words, so he painted about it. Hundreds of paintings of varying quality hung on his walls, each a flower that had been documented to appear as part of the sickness. Part of the curse. He'd never seen it as such, how could something so bright and brilliant be a curse?
