Byakuya Togami knew how to read people. It was one of his skills he developed as he fought to take the Togami Heirship for his own. Reading people allows you to read their intentions. Knowing others intentions allows you to create your own defense of an offence which has yet to come. His ability to read others helped him feel comfortable in the Hell he had been thrown into.

He hated the books, he really did. So much that he’d thrown the damn things out the window, and promptly put himself to sleep hoping to forget it all.
Just to find it in his terrible luck to wake up as Mizi’s boyfriend.
