Summary
Techno's familiar was a raccoon. It was unusual and no one would envy Techno for having Theseus, but Techno adored him. He was more than content to have the adorable animal as his familiar instead of some over powered demon, but... well... Theseus might not be all he appears to be.
(That won't stop Techno from adoring him and it won't stop Theseus from being a menace, but it does bring about change. Hopefully this will be good for them...)

“Can you help me?”
The rain patters on Tommy’s hair, his shoulders, the ground. It touches the man but doesn’t seem to sink in. His clothes look no more than damp when they should be soaking. Tommy should know; his shirt is plastered to him. He wouldn’t be surprised if it was see-through.
Tommy blinks. The man asked him a question. He nods again, not quite trusting his voice. The man seems nice, so Tommy takes a step forward.
The man smiles. It… something is wrong, but Tommy can’t put his finger on it. “Thank you. I’m looking for someone.” The man tilts his head, and something gleams in his brown eyes. With the motion, a strand of wavy hair falls forward, but it all seems so perfect. The man is perfect.

And it’s… well, at first Techno thinks it's a human. He’s got rounded cheeks and a small button nose, mouth wide open and yelling. He’s waving his arms around angrily, tiny fingers clenched into a fist. But then Techno looks slightly up, and he can see the pointed, furry ears sticking out from his unruly blond hair. Techno shifts the boy to the side and he can see a tail.
“–me go, you bitch! Fuck you! Let me go!”
A little warrior, Techno thinks as the boy kicks and curses in his fist. Runt, his mind screams, looking at just how small the boy is in his hands.

Tommy stared, mouth feeling terribly dry as he struggled to speak. Then he whispered, voice horrendously cracked, “What the fuck.”
The words seemed to spring things into action as the beast stood, large and monstrous and shadowing the blonde’s lanky form. Tommy took a few speedy steps backward before his back hit against a cold stone wall, the pink-haired monster coming closer with each step being purposeful. As he paused in front of Tommy, he reached out, resulting in the other to squeeze his eyes shut as tightly as possible, bracing for a slash.
It never happened.
Instead clawed fingers gently brushed through his golden locks and then-
“Gold.”

His eyes dart around the alleyway he had been shoved into like a cornered animal, though he supposes that’s what he is. And then the hot air on his neck is gone, but he doesn’t allow himself to breathe yet. If this is what he thinks it is, he’s nowhere near the clear.
“Prime, you’re so scared, aren’t you, little one?”

The two boys stared at each other, fuming brown meeting a mischievous blue.
Tommy, tiny, mumbling Tommy - Tommy with the newly protruding fangs and the supposed 'heart of gold,' was well aware of what he was doing as he shoved mud-covered fingers back inside of his mouth, right after his older brother had told him not to.
Oh, dear God.
Wilbur sort of wanted to melt under the burning sun at that point. (Maybe he could really turn to dust if he tried hard enough?)

Wilbur had been given the task to look after a three-year-old Tommy during his teething season. It was arguably not going great if Technoblade's mild amusement, Phil's flaming anger, and the mud smeared over his baby brother was anything to go off of.

Tubbo hated society.
It just didn’t make sense: who thought it was a good idea to base an entire society over whether or not you like coriander? It probably wasn’t even all that good. Like all sixteen year olds, he’d never been allowed to try the herb before, but he’d had plenty of others, and he was sure that coriander couldn’t possibly outclass them. They should sort people on whether or not they liked garlic instead: hating garlic was an actual crime.

Suddenly, there was a loud creaking noise, still far off. It sounded almost like the bellows Tommy used to operate at Sam’s old place, or like someone trying to hack through a wire with a rusty saw, interrupted periodically by the sound of steam like some giant creature hissing. It only got louder, the sound gaining more and more layers, until it was a symphony of metal-on-metal as Tommy and Tubbo gripped onto each other with white knuckles behind the shelter of their boulder.
The sound got closer and closer, the impact of the castle's feet making the ground shake, until suddenly it was on top of them, any light completely eclipsed.
Tommy looked up, just as a massive claw crashed down onto the top of their stone.

Tommy and Tubbo get bored and break into L'Manburg's palace. A nuke, a mad wizard and a missing prince later, they might've bitten off more than they can chew.

Summary
Ranboo had not adapted to living in England.
Living alone at seventeen was hard enough, but in a different country? They’d been here for three months and they still weren’t used to it, almost getting hit by cars a few times when they looked the wrong way while crossing the road, got on the wrong bus several times, and on one notable occasion almost cried because they thought they didn’t have enough money for groceries until they realised that tax was already added on. The main thing that Ranboo missed about America was the lack of ghoul activity: here, people kept turning up dead almost every other night, sometimes worryingly close to their apartment.
Still, it was clear that they weren’t used to life in Britain as their first thought when they saw the van hurtling at them across the pavement was “Oh crap, I don’t have health insurance”.

The fic where Ranboo is pretty sure their organs were stolen after they got hit by a van. Looking back, that would’ve been the better option.

That’s how they spent that night, Tommy carefully brushing Techno’s hair out, trying not to snag anything. Him decorating his long braid with winter flowers he got from outside earlier that day. Finally finishing it off by tying Techno's red ribbon to hold it all together.
Tommy sat back and admired his work, crossing his arms in accomplishment. Techno grabbed his hair and brought it around his shoulder in front of him. He stared at the flowers in astonishment; Tommy had put flowers in his hair before but the blueish grey flowers that adorned his hair now were beautiful.

And then he’d heard the snuffling. It’s a quiet thing, sniffling mixed with high-pitched whines, and, oh, there go his instincts. Recognizing the sound even though he’s never heard it before- though he definitely made it in his youth.
There’s a piglet nearby, and they’re terrified.
He casts one final, forlorn glance at the gold he’d seen higher up, and then he turns to follow the sound.
