Summary
A collection of short stories, written as gifts for the Silmarillion Stockings event:
1. Curufin cannot free himself of his doom. He will do what he can for Aredhel.
2. Nothing is ever simple in the life of Túrin Turambar. Not even the necessary act of emptying his bowels.
3. After Galdor's passing, Fingon finds a way to bring back the smile on Húrin's face.
4. Fingon is driven mad by guilt and grief. Celegorm offers succor, if in unconventional ways.
5. With Balan's help, Finrod learns to love the sunlight. Twice.
6. In the woods of Nan Dungortheb, Haleth offers herself in exchange for the survival of her people.
7. Fingon braves the winter and journeys to Himring, but his romantic surprise does not go quite as planned.
8. Nerdanel is prepared to do anything, anything at all, to prevent fate from claiming her son. -

Summary
Maeglin & Idril centered series, exploring the reasons behind the downfall of Maeglin and Gondolin. Be warned: lots of psychology, politics, and angst.
I will make references to stories within the series but they can be read independently. Ordered somewhat chronologically, posted as the muses dictate.

Summary
“Oh Elrond, you and I have lived long enough to know that ordinary people arrive at extraordinary cruelty by forgetting the past in perfectly reasonable increments as they plan for the future. I fear that the descendants of two children found sobbing beneath a bed amidst the ruins of their birthplace may one day come to lay waste to the cradles of another’s civilisation.”
___________________In Fourth Age Gondor, King Elessar is set to unite the Harad city-states under the banner of the White Tree, whilst Arwen struggles with her father’s legacy and her own mortality. But as the date for the surrender and subsequent transfer of power draws nearer, a Haradrim campaign of resistance and subterfuge ramps up in Minas Tirith, and with Maglor Fëanorian’s unexpected appearance in the city, the descendants of Elrond and Elros Peredhel find they can no longer ignore the reopening wounds of First Age Beleriand.
A story of Harad and the West, from the Union of Maedhros to the King’s Peace of Gondor.

Summary
Quiet, until a voice calls out into that all-consuming velveteen that Tyelkormo has not heard since the Darkening--
“Please,” it says, though not begging, never begging, “Do not make me regret the kindness I had offered you.”
He looks up from his knives, finding Findaráto looking at him or perhaps through him with his jaw tightly set, and his own masseters tighten in response.
“I cannot swear you such an oath, Artafindë.” He lowers his head until their eyes are level with each other, blue Tirion lake to quicksilver that slips through one’s grasp. “Regret what you will. I am bound by my own duties, and pity will not stay me from honouring them.”
“Would anything?” Findaráto asks.
“No,” Tyelkormo answers, not hesitating even as long as it takes him to fill his lungs with air. “Nothing. There is nothing else.”---
Celegorm, Finrod, several conversations on totality and the necessity of violence before the end.
