Summary
You were a xenolinguist working for a crumbling department after the death of Grace Augustine, but since her passing and the rising tension between human and Na'vi, the RDA abolished funding for it, and you, a loose string who despised what they were doing to the natives, died in a freak explosion caused by a "faulty" boiler reactor. You weren't supposed to be brought back, but the Colonel whom had come to you to learn Na'vi from could pull rank on a few officers.
tl;dr quaritch brings you back from the dead as a recom and breaks you out of the rda

You didnt have much growing up, but then again you were raised in a giant metal box by humans. They tried telling you and the others about how they 'saved' you and how you were going to help them get friendly with the local Na'vi people..but what kind of ambassador need to know how to shoot a gun? Or how to slit someone's throat? None is the answer. If it wasn't for your sister Aha'ri, you wouldn't have any idea who you were or at least who you used to be. A Sarentu. Are you still Sarentu? Are you still Na'vi? How can you claim to be part of something you have never experienced? When you do manage to get out into the world of Pandora, it is hard. Hard to deal with everyone throwing looks your way, asking you questions you dont know the answer to, wondering why you seemed more of a sky person then Na'vi. Almost everyone. One Na'vi always stood by your side and defended everything you were. Another Na'vi orphaned by sky people, So'lek. What better way to bond then with mutual hatred of sky people?
