Summary
Zanka’s blind. Has been for years. Most of the Cleaners are oblivious to it, but everyone who needs to know is already aware (and Enjin Doesn’t Need To Know, RIYO—)
So, yeah, baggage there. But with Assistaff’s help his blindness is basically paperwork (it is not) so there’s no reason to tell Enjin. (Or anyone else.) Besides, their fearless team leader is busy training the new kid! No reason to bother the guy with petty bullshit from years ago. He's got too many responsibilities as-is, and honestly, Enjin probably wouldn’t even care so there's no actual point in saying—
Then Rudo finds out.
Rudo, who can barely keep his emotions in check, let alone a fucking secret.
Cue Zanka’s life immediately going to hell in a hand basket (especially once Jabber gets involved).

Summary
Robert climbs out of the smoldering wreckage of his father’s legacy only to find that he's no longer needed. Mecha Man is, of course. But Robert Robertson? Ha. No.
So he tries to piece his life back together, however hopeless a cause it may be. But then it's time to announce his--hm, not retirement. Convalescence? Close enough--and it goes just a little too well. Chase never calls in the favor with Blazer so Robert never gets the job at SDN. Purposeless, he lets himself backslide. Forces himself to focus on the suit and only the suit because it's the only way he'll ever let himself live again (as if Mecha Man was much of a life beforehand).
Then a couple assholes bust down his door because the neighbors called for a wellness check and now Robert's plans of dying in a landslide of pizza boxes will have to be put on pause.
TLDR: Robert and Z-Team fix each other. They fuck up a lot along the way.

With the way Tamsy’s looking at him, it might as well have been.
Tamsy’s gaze becomes lidded and his head tilts slightly. He thinks for a moment, twirling the end of a strand of his hair before he responds.
Enjin’s fingers ache from where the flame of the cigarette starts to burn the filter.

“Hey shawty,” he leans his weight on her, a little, “you seen what ya boy doin’? You lettin' him get all sloppy on me? Naughty girl.”
Oh, fuck. Zanka hates that more than direct insults. Because, oh, because-
