Did anyone else look at the Vulcan Expeditionary Group Director and Sarek and think: What if they were ex-lovers and the Director was still bitter about it when we see him in Lethe? No? Just me?
Anyway, in this story, the two men were involved while the director was an instructor at the Vulcan Science Academy and Sarek was a student there. And although this arrangement is seen as perfectly normal in Vulcan society, its fallout has lasting repercussions for them both.

She opened her eyes and they drifted, as always, to those lips. “Can I begin here?”Even if Solas did change his mind and come back to Lavellan post-Trespasser, how would they reconnect with each other after everything that happened? Theoretically a sequel to another fic, but should stand on its own.
