Truth be told, he’s not entirely sure how the hypnosis functions. It seems to have a rather long shelf life, at least.

Summary
It doesn’t matter. What matters is that Alastor turned his own power against him, and then he took him home. Patched him up as well, instead of letting him rot like he deserved. His consciousness takes a backseat as he’s cared for, fuzzy and warm and outright bursting at the seams.
So when he’s told it’s the fifties, that all he has is Alastor, and he’s to never leave the bayou, the least he can do is play along.

No matter how much Vincent would like otherwise.
When Vincent meets Alastor’s mom by chance, he no longer wants to just be in Alastor’s life. More than anything, he wants to be part of his family.
