Avid was stood in the middle of it, arms wrapped around his trembling form. He looked terrible. Bloody tears streamed down his face, getting lost in the fabric of his capelet as they fell. His claws had dulled down into blunt nails, hints of purple seeping into his eyes.

Summary
A sequel to The Monster and the Lunatic that picks up right where the last one left off! Well, skipping the end of the finale that was exactly like canon except for having a couple more vampires in it. You'll note that Avid made it out this time, still a vampire and totally unkilled.
The four members of the Goldsmith Coven finally leave Oakhurst. They plan to move to London, but they have a serious task to complete first -- helping Avid bury his found-sister Elle, who he left dead on the floor of their cabin when he fled to Oakhurst in the first place.
Yeah, right. You didn't think that was going to go to plan.
