“We’re looking for shells.” Diva said. When the girl didn’t say anything, she huffed. “You, know, shells? Like,” Diva flailed her hands around, then made a curved shape with her fingers to trace the outside of a shell.
Light smiled, like she understood, and began digging through the sand. She then produced a seashell with a *perfect* curved edge. Diva was impressed. “That’s perfect!” she said, clapping her hands in delight. “You’re good at this!” Light smiled, so Diva guessed she understood again.OR
Diva likes being the oldest in her family-- as the oldest daughter, and the oldest grandchild, she gets all the attention she could ask for from her parents, her aunts and uncles, and her grandparents.
When her Aunty Zephyr and Uncle Tanner come back from a trading trip, however, they bring someone new to the family. A scared little girl named Light. She's apprehensive about the girl, but turns out, she's really good at finding seashells. But she doesn't speak like the rest of the family, and she's scared of things that Diva doesn't understand. -

Techno stopped short, eyes widening before he moved with vampiric speed, shoving his mortal partner behind him, and tackling the intruding vampire head on/
"Technoblade." hissed Dream, a sharp smile on his face, "Long time no see. You've been busy, it looks like. What does Phil say about this farce, hmm?"
"Techno? Who the hell is this? Why is he in our house? Who is Phil?"
Techno was watching a sand castle teeter, waves crashing around it's base, shattering the illusion that it could ever be solid rock.
"Oh? He didn't tell you?" Dream was smirking under his mask, a curl of cruel lips, "Phil is his husband."
And Techno could do no more than watch the castle fall.

Techno loved telling stories about the stars he had learned from his birth pod, and Phil loved making up stories to antagonize him. Techno’s finned ears and sail would flare in mild annoyance every time Phil spun up some nonsense myth, even if his face and tone remained neutral. This night, however, a storm had been brewing, and Techno and Phil wanted to watch for the first lightning strike before diving deep to sleep out the weather.
Through the wind and waves, they hadn’t heard an approaching fishing boat struggling to reel their nets back in. Wind whipped the waves up into a frenzy, and by an unfortunate stroke of bad luck, Techno had gotten caught. He was hoisted out of the water before he even realized what was happening, Phil screaming his name and reaching out desperately. Techno tried clawing at the net, but to no avail.

One should start packing because all that's waiting for them is a sore butt from all the travelling with a coach, brutal etiquette training, politics, awkward family gatherings, and assassination attempts more times than fingers could count.
What to do if one is inflicted with all sorts of painful sensations fourteen times every fortnight? Can this be stopped? Why is he having weird thoughts that are weirdly alien? Is he losing his mind? How can he find the person with the soulbound tattoo identical to his own? Will he have to endure everything on his own?
Well, Grian surely would like to know how since there's one thing he's sure of: he can't access the internet anymore.
