“We do not say anything about the Hollander situation,” LeClaire tells them even though it sounds like he’s already resigned to what he knows is going to happen.
After all, Roz gets extremely mad whenever it’s brought up. Not that Cliff can blame him, he’s pretty sure that Roz liked Hollander before this (wouldn’t chirp him half as much if he didn’t). Finding out that he’s such a bastard must sting.
Not to mention that Roz does not mess around with people that disrespect girls. Or women. Or kids. Or dogs. Or the elderly (excluding Scott Hunter). Or really anyone, if it’s for petty stupid reasons.
“Of course,” Cliff agrees for both of them since Roz is still too busy texting someone.
It’s apparently not good enough for LeClaire because he asks, “Roz?”
“Just one second,” he answers without raising his eyes from his phone or stopping his typing. “Need to get my Jane to agree with something. She’s very stubborn.”
Or. My take on the 'their text leak and now everybody thinks that Shane is an abusive bastard' premise. Featuring Ilya giving a presser, Marly realizing in real time who 'Jane' is and the internet reacting to the craziness.

He ran as hard as he could, though the sand made that very difficult. He could see the body slowly start to be engulfed by the ground.
“No,” He choked, pumping his arms as hard as he could, “No, I’m- I’m almost there- Loki! Just wait- Just wait for me! I’m almost-” Fandral screamed, hearing his voice echoing back at him from every direction. His eyes stayed focused on the outreached hand that was the only thing still above the sand.

“When—on the Bifrost,” Loki runs a hand down his face. Thor is closest, and he thinks he can see it shaking. “In 2011, before I came to Midgard—no. No. I’m doing this all wrong.” His movements are jerky and his hand fidgets with his palm, the hem of his shirt, a coil of hair. He glances up at the ceiling for help, and takes another very horrible gasp of air.
“Let me…” Loki moves back to the couch, and yanks a Starkpad from one of the cushions, one he had borrowed from Tony that morning. He swallows, typing on it and swiping across the screen.
Loki looks up, glancing at the crowd, and makes a gesture on the screen of the Starkpad. A large holographic diorama of a very familiar-looking cube floats into the center of the room.
“The Tesseract,” Loki declares to no one’s surprise. What does make Thor react is how he immediately adds: “Also known as the Space Stone.”
Thor is starting to see where this is going. He doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like it at all.OR:
A totally non-canon-complaint AU, and this is when Loki finally has to confront his demons.

Over the years, the feeling had become so familiar that it was almost a comfort, in a way – it was like an emergency exit; even if he’d almost definitely never use it, it was reassuring to know it was there if he ever really needed it. It was practically a part of him; he was Ilya Rozanov, he was a hockey player, he drove fancy cars and partied too hard, and he sort of wished he were dead.

Peter had always understood something Henry never would: that beneath all the shouting, the slammed doors, and the endless declarations of hatred, Henry loved him.
It wasn't the soft, cuddly love Mum talked about in bedtime stories. It was sharp edged and reluctant, like a cat that hissed but still came to sleep on your pillow at night.
And actions always spoke louder than horrid words. Henry said he hated Peter like a mantra. Peter knew it was a lie he told himself to stay safe.
Peter didn't mean to learn how to weaponize that soft spot. He was a good little brother. He only wanted Henry to be happy. Even if the means of doing so were unconventional.

"Would you miss me?" Henry asked, voice light, almost casual. "If I weren't here anymore."
Ralph's eyes narrowed. He pressed two fingers to his split lip, courtesy of an elbow during an earlier scuffle with some sixth-form lads who called them names, and winced.
"What the hell does that even mean?"
Henry shrugged. Started walking the narrow ridge of the roof, arms spread like he was balancing on a wire. Gravel and broken tiles skittered off under his trainers and rained down.
Ralph's stomach twisted, but he stayed seated, watching.
"Means exactly what it sounds like," Henry said. "One day you wake up, and I'm just... gone." He swept one arm in a dramatic arc, like erasing himself from existence. "Poof. No more Horrid Henry. No more screaming in corridors, no more starting fights I can't finish, no more being too loud, too angry, too bloody much for everyone. Out of sight, out of mind. Because I wouldn't exist anymore."

Ralph had been lounging on his bed, scrolling through his phone, but the second Henry appeared he sat up straight. His alpha scent, warm cedar and smoked vanilla, flared instantly with excitement, only to sour with concern as he took in the damage.
"Henry—" Ralph started, voice low.
"Don't." Henry's tone was clipped. He didn't look at him.
Instead he stormed across the room like he owned it, which, in that moment, he basically did. He ripped the thick navy comforter off Ralph's bed in one violent tug, dragging it toward the corner between the bed and the window where the late afternoon light pooled softly on the floor. Two pillows followed.
Then Ralph's favorite hoodie, the oversized red one that still smelled strongly of him, got yanked off the chair and shoved into the growing pile.
Ralph stayed where he was for a long moment, watching.
Every instinct screamed at him to pull Henry into his arms, to fix it. But he knew better. Henry was an omega who hated being treated like one on a good day. Right now, he was a live wire.
