“I’m a grown man,” Odysseus grunts, trying (and failing) to pry Hermes’ hands off.
“And I’m thousands of years old! My little baby, that’s what you are.”

or; Hermes is sent to inform Odysseus that he has been granted permission to return home. Odysseus thinks that, once he's set sail, it'll be the last he'll see of the messenger. However, what he fails to realise is that, when earning the interest of an Olympian, that favour comes with a heavy price. Apparently, in this case, it means Hermes sticking around to see how long it takes before Odysseus throws himself into the water for some peace and quiet.Bookmarked by Betaaa

Summary
Harry Potter has never been normal. Even before he was born, he was a child of prophecy. So no part of his life could be called normal in the slightest. When given the chance to have a 'normal' life, does he even know what that means? No, he's gone through too much to even try, and he's too tired to care. It's too bad everyone expects him to be the upstanding son and heir of the Potter family when he's never had family before in his life though.
Also, the baby is a little difficult to explain. The baby who may eventually turn into Lord Voldemort...no, nature vs. nurture and all, and Harry plans to nurture the hell out of this kid.

A very clear and accurate depiction of depression and how it can feel (for some people, but not everyone). Very therapeutic read for me that helped me work through some of my feelings. Please keep in mind that this means the fic is heavy on the hurt side of the hurt/comfort genre and there are depictions of both suicidal and self-destructive thoughts, memory loss, loss of sense of time, and disturbing imagery.
