“What an unfriendly welcome,” Kaeya stated, keeping his voice low and pitching it just enough that only the attacker could hear him, “I did not think that Mondstadt was in the habit of killing its visitors in the dead of the night.”
A dismissive grunt followed his accusation, but there was no fluster or even hesitation in the attacker as the claymore was pointed in his direction. There was, however, a tightening of muscles. Kaeya studied him carefully. Tall, but slightly shorter than himself, wearing a dark cloak with a hood that hid the person’s hair and shadowed his face.

Summary
Harry had not planned of getting thrown back in time, he had not planned on fining himself in Voldemort's seventh Hogwarts year, but this was were he found himself. They say terrible things happen to wizards who meddle with time, but stranded in the past with no way back into his own time, Harry has nothing left to loose so he sets out to end Voldemort before he could rise to power. Once the glow of the cottage fades and the boys have to head back to the real world, they have to start the long difficult year being separated before Ilya signs with Ottawa. Or at least that was the plan, until Ilya opened his mouth and accidentally got himself traded to Montreal. But it’s fine, just one year for Ilya in Montreal and then their 10 year plan is back on track… Right?
Through their year on the same team, Ilya helps Shane come to terms with the fact that his team kinda sucks, Hayden gets chirped into oblivion but still realizes that maybe Ilya Rozanov isn’t nearly as bad of a guy as he thought, and Hollanov come to terms with a new question they didn’t expect to ask.

Summary
“Hollander,” suddenly Ilya gasps. He looks so shocked that his head must hurt more than normal. “Did you speed?”
Shane’s cheeks darken, Yuna didn’t think it was possible. Then, her son mutters something almost unintelligible.
“Am tired, Hollander. Please. What was that you said?” Ilya huffs, Shane’s hand still in his.
“I rented a McLaren so it would be fast. It was.”
No one finds out about Shane and Ilya’s relationship during Ilya’s stay at the cottage. However, during Ilya’s final season in Boston, the Raiders’ plane suffers a malfunction on their way to Ottawa, so Shane, who is in NYC for a Metros vs Admirals game, leaves the team behind without telling anyone and drives to Ottawa, renting a ridiculously fast and impossible-to-miss car to get to his boyfriend as soon as possible, not caring about coming out in the process. This decision has several consequences, including nine tickets for speeding.

Summary
Following an afternoon of sex and tuna melts, Shane goes searching for the explicit rules of what being 'friends with benefits' entails. In his humble opinion, they're nailing it.
Once friendship is on the table, Shane reconsiders the usefulness and immutability of the public rivalry narrative. Surely the NHL can make just as much money from a bromance as it can from a rivalry?
A missed call from J.J., a dinner at All-Stars, and an ill-considered mad dash to the airport send Shane's season in a very different direction to the disciplined three-peat he'd been planning back in October.
"This rivalry thing: it was everyone else who said we hated each other off the ice. There’s no rule that says we have to keep doing that forever.” Shane stared outside, past the blinding billboards and down at the streets below. “It was nice. Hanging out, last time.”
He knew what it looked like when Rozanov shut down, when he closed himself off and pushed the world away. He’d finish the conversation abruptly, curt, clipped, and retreat. So Shane knew he’d won when Rozanov finally answered with: “Are we six years old, Hollander? Asking if I want to play in sandbox with you?"
