After Astarion falls from the Nautiloid, he ends up somewhere new entirely. Namely, he ends up in Sunnydale not long after a certain group of vampire hunters start college there. Surprisingly enough, nobody gets killed.

Every part of her hurt and Faith stared in utter terror at this pale spider-veined monster and with that sickening realization of just what lay behind that rage, she realized this might be how she went out.
You know what it feels like, now. Your body, completely in the control of something you can't stop, and you can't control. You hurt me, Faith. Went out of your way to try to ruin my life.
Willow then stood up right as her friends had found her, knowing what that light had meant even when Faith didn't.

Faith found herself fully believing Red in that moment for reasons besides being on her back after being brutally ragdolled, not least of them the relish in that tone as the pale spider-veined monster had grinned at her for the first time.
