With The Crimson Raiders seemingly placated and back to hunting Vaults for Atlas, everything's finally coming up Strongfork.
For now.
Corporate machinations go both ways, and Rhys has been making far more enemies than friends. Depending who you ask, he's a visionary leader, an ambitious go-getter, or iron-fisted tyrant and megalomaniac hellbent on subjugating the universe. He's not a "good" person - he'll freely admit it - but he hardly considers himself the villain, either. He's the lesser of evils, and he's convinced that finding Vaults is necessary to protect humanity.
So who cares if he makes a little profit along the way? He deserves it.The slash pairing is subplot. Still considering this genfic.

Rhys, the CEO of the reborn Atlas corporation, is still reeling from the 'merger' attempt Maliwan made. As a result he's decided to hit the emergency button to ensure it doesn't happen again, and that Atlas becomes the best of the best. Reviving Handsome Jack and giving him a whole new body might be extreme, but Rhys has made precautions. Liiiike keeping the murderous asshole on a short, electronic leash. But Jack isn't so sure Rhys is telling him the truth, and that there seems to be more to reviving him than just a response to Maliwan's attack.

Rhys is too busy to pay any attention to Jack, so Jack decides to force Rhys into acknowledging him by buying the CEO a fun new outfit! He initially refused to wear it but after a convenient laundry mishap; he has to put the suit on.

Summary
Axton is visiting Promethea to reconnect with Zer0, who is supporting Rhys as he rebuilds the Atlas Corporation. It's immediately obvious to Axton that Rhys is crushing on Zer0 and that there's some sort of ongoing sexual arrangement between the two. In the same vein, Rhys is made aware that Axton and Zer0 used to fuck a lot in the past.
Zer0 feels a certain way about the unspoken competition going on between his two companions and arranges a threesome. Rhys is shocked, to say the least, when he discovers how violent sex is between the two Vault Hunters, even more shocked at how much the Zer0 he thought he knew is loving it, and most shocked of all at how much he ends up into it.

"And that's why we need to find him." Vaughn pointed out with the shake of his head. "Because if we don't, that maniac is going to tear Pandora to bits looking for him."

Rhys, living the high life with his best bro, Vaughn. During a snack raid, Runs into a pregnant omega in a supermarket one night. No matter how hot he was, there was no love at first sight. He wasn't seeing stars or feeling butterflies in his stomach like every other omega hoped to feel when meeting an eventual partner. Honestly, if it wasn't late at night with only days away from Christmas and the omega carrying twins, Rhys never would have approached the guy to begin with.
Driving him home to ensure he was safe, wasn't a mistake.
Vaughn would argue that dragging Jack with them to visit Rhys' family for the holidays, defiantly was, and the weirdly buff alpha wasn't too happy about that either.
Jack would just rather curl up in a hole and die alone.
(TLDR: Set in the 80's, Jack is mourning the recent loss of his mate while also coming to terms about being a single parent and somehow gets convinced by some strange twink to go on a small vacation to a small town for Christmas while being mistaken as said twinks date.
Meanwhile, Rhys is spending most of his time, trying to avoid his families odd questions while completely unaware that his best bro was pining after him like a lovesick puppy.)
