It's afterschool on Kurt's first day, When his new friend Kitty invites him to watch their other friends as they attempt to start a rock band. Upon reaching their practice room, Gwen and Kamala reveal their lead singer and guitarist quit. Much to the pressure of the group, Kurt play what little music he knows on piano, and sings for them. Afterwards, they ask him to join the band, to which he tentatively accepts. Moments later, Kurt's spider sense goes off, and Spider-Man springs to action, following the tingle until he finds a familiar rogue from Peter Parker's gallery, The Shocker. Learning he's the son of the original Shocker, the two fight and dodge the others attacks. Cutting the fight short, this new Shocker flees the scene, only to report to a hidden Hydra bunker along one of NYC's rivers. There he meets with his employer and handler, The Red Skull, learning that the sadistic German knows the identity of this new Spider-Man, and means to watch him like a science experiment.

Peter wished he knew what he knew now back then, he could’ve done so much more.
Maybe he might’ve been able to do something for Harry if Curt Connors and Norman Osborn told the truth about what Venom was rather than simply calling it an exo-suit. Peter had done what was said to be impossible, against all odds he had managed to separate Harry from Venom without killing him, but the host was left in a coma.
Maybe if he saw the symbiote for what it really was before he lost control, he could’ve convinced Harry of it’s true nature and kept Venom from every happening. He couldn't stop Venom as he terrorized the city.
Maybe if he knew how Kraven tracked him to the Emily-May foundation, he would still have a place to make a decent living for once. Something he hadn't had since his mentor's descent into madness was dangling in reach before being taken away again.
Maybe if he knew that the Particle Accelerator was still powered, he wouldn’t have hit the stupid button.
Then again, if knew this was the result...
A second chance?
A way to save his best friend?
Peter Parker was a hero through and through, this was a opportunity he couldn't afford to mess up this time.
