Ghirahim trailed his fingers up the mangled arm, tracing the intricate patterns he’d so meticulously carved into the pale flesh, across those ravaged shoulders, before resting his hands on the boy’s chest, right over his heart. The little hero’s heartbeat fluttered weakly under his fingers, fast, faint, and erratic, skin hot and slick to the touch, chest rising and falling in shallow, sporadic movements to match his agonized, labored breathing.
“Your death will be a sweet refreshment to what remains of my master, and he will eat of your anguish, your suffering, for years to come.”

"Settle down now, Four." Sky hushed. "Don't fuss, you're alright."

"You were panicking earlier Wild." Sky noted to keep a gentle, little smile on as he heartbrokenly wiped those falling tears from his brother's face. Still fear-stricken, he leaned to the touch, slow and careful he was, as though expecting Sky to change mannerisms, and anticipating to be hurt. Something in Sky shifted so, so woundly in him. "Let me check in with you now." He hummed, gently beckoning Wild's attention.
With a small, barely coherent redirect of his attention, with foggy, tear-blurred eyes, Wild submitted brokenly.
And when it finally settled within Sky, he nearly threw up then and there.
Wild wasn't being cooperative out of his own will. He was frightened into in submission.
OR
Twilight fails to control his anger once more, taking it out on Wild yet again. This time, the others are done with justifying his behavior.

Summary
"See anything you like?" Sky whispered, noting how scared they looked at this moment, gaze flickering off to the side in fear of any wandering eyes or the occasional nosy passerby, also jolting a little at every louder-than-necessary noise.
Four whined, pressing closer to Sky's side, leeching off the man's everlasting warmth. It was only when Sky invited them to the embrace with an arm around their shoulders did Four give an answer, shyly pointing towards the top shelf, up to the left side.
It was a teether, made of what Sky assumed to be silicone or rubber- It looked like a strawberry, ridges in place of seeds, and a handle at the leaves. It also seemed quite firm yet soft, perfect in place of the sleeves of Four's sweater, the collared-hem of Sky's shirts, or nearly anything that stayed in Four's close proximity for too long.
OR
Sky tries to help Four settle and grow more comfortable with their regression, he also believes that Four deserves a few toys and items from the store to help with exactly just that.

He intended to just sleep off the concussion at best, or take a potion the next morning when they restocked on them at worse. He probably shouldn't have gone outside where he was easily seen while not at his best and without basically any of his items.

It was out of thin air, from one moment to another. Sky knew they were trapped in their own thoughts. And Four needed to get out. Now.
Four shuddered an exhale, shoulders slumping down from the great effort it took. "You're safe. You're okay." He reassured.
"'m know." Four muttered behind their hand. Sky internally took note of the way their fingers found their way into Four's mouth.

Sky rested his head on his hand, eyes lazily following Four around as they leaped over strewn objects on the floor, dove between the dining room chairs, and hid under the Skycloth whenever the world got too big and scary for them.
Yawning, Sky blinked the bleariness out of his eyes as a fond smile crept on their face. Four skipped behind the couch, and a sharp gasp had cut through the comforting silence -save for Four’s excited footsteps- before Sky heard a loud thud, followed by a bitten-back wail.
