Eldritch(???) Abominations(???) 🤔❓
Where characters are different levels of Eldritch-y strangeness when canonically they aren't (but probably should have been (looking at you, Anakin Skywalker and Izuku Midoriya))

Summary
If the Bats are a legend in Gotham, then they are but a passing whisper to the rest of the world. An overheard sentence that stops abruptly when it's clear they are being listened to. A secret widely discussed among only certain circles, and yet never fully put down in print.
When the Justice League stumble onto Gotham's biggest secret, they embark on their quest to discover more about the Bats, and find a lot more than they expected...

Summary
On the night of the Wayne murders, only two bodies were ever recovered. The last time Bruce Wayne was ever seen was in a blurred, black-and-white video, showing him walking in an almost impossibly straight line slowly and surely into the water of Gotham Harbour until his head disappeared beneath the murky surface.
The children of Gotham were well-known for their creepy nursery rhymes and campfire tales. Stories of reptilian monsters that scavenged in the sewers or clowns with Cheshire cat smiles and piercing laughs or wealthy assassins who bore owl masks and watched from the shadows were passed around every elementary school playground or sugar-fuelled slumber party in the city. But as the Wayne murders began to fade into memory and the manor on the hill stood empty for longer and longer, a new story began to emerge.
or: On the same night his parents are killed, Bruce Wayne vanishes. When he comes back, he's something else. For the lost and lonely children of Gotham, he's a protector, maybe a friend. And, as time goes on, he's not the only one.

Summary
How, exactly, do you tell the Justice League you weren’t a feral cryptid haunting Gotham?
That single, most ridiculous question had been gnawing at Bruce’s mind for the past week. He could let them believe it—he had certainly let worse rumors fester when it served his purposes—but he couldn’t. He just couldn’t.
or
The continuation of Unintentional Cryptid.
Bruce tries to clear up the small misunderstanding but every single time he interacts with the Justice League, it gets worse

In which Dick Grayson and Tim Drake tag team to make both Bruce and some very unfortunate kidnappers regret all their life decisions. Jason Todd is definitely not the only theatre kid in the family...
Dick really doesn't like putting on the Batsuit, thank you very much. So when he has to, he is at least owed some fun in it...
