It didn’t take long for the heavy thumbing of large paws on the ground to reach the pup’s ears, and whoever it was crashed through the underbrush like a fucking bear.
There was a deafening growl, one that shook Tommy to the bone.
A blur of reds and mahogany streaked passed him, but the figure only paused for a moment before he rounded on the golden wolf. Tommy had barely managed to dodge Techno’s first lunge. There was no way he’d be able to do it again.
Or, Tommy is a werewolf pup that moves to a new town and unfortunately catches the eyes of the werewolf pack that runs it.

The monsters down the hall have been the source of his nightmares plenty of times. But Tommy knows this; they have rules. They’re playing a game, sure, they’re messing with things that shouldn’t even be able to be messed with, but there are rules around it.
They don’t hurt Tommy. They are his brothers, and they act like it even when their cover is blown. They might not love him, or really care about him, but they pretend to, at the very least. They play the role well.
If Tommy goes, and seeks them out, they will protect him like how older brothers do. And he will know, and be secure in the fact that if anything were to come to hurt him in the night, they would tear it apart into pathetic remains.
(Or, a sequel to Ring ring ring banana phone, in which Tommy adjusts with his Not Brothers, and they adjust to him)

“Something has been stolen from us,” Thanatos said, his wings puffing up as he spoke. “Something that is very important to us. And we are fairly certain that the person who stole this thing of ours is in this very crowd.”
Dream tensed beside Tommy as the crowd broke out into murmurs. Eyes were darting towards the different heroes in the crowd, the benefactors no doubt assuming that the culprit had to be a hero.
“Like we said, we haven’t crashed your party to cause trouble. But we want this thing returned to us, and we won’t hesitate to take extreme measures to get what we want.”
or, Tommy was a lot of things: a newly debuted hero sidekick, an amnesiac, and a former kidnapping victim of the Syndicate.
Tommy didn't actually remember that last one though. That was just what Dream told him.
Only weeks after his hero debut, the Syndicate announces they are searching for something, and Tommy knows it has to be him. The scariest part? If they find him, Tommy will have no clue what to expect, because the Syndicate might know him, but he has no memories of them.
So he can't let them find him. No matter what.
Of course they end up finding him anyway.

I swear I cried in the end so much
The healthy gray ending where no everything is alright but it’s coming to an ok moment, the whole construction and character development is amazing and you get so so much attached
It was just what I needed, very well written, good plot, dream’s ending didn’t make me too excited, think it could be different but I’m also not complaining because he did deserve it. It’s very good and I did spend my whole Sunday reading it
Sleep wouldn’t like it tho cuz it’s not her dream villain standard.

“You’re going to throw up again if you drink it too fast,” Techno said quickly. “Only take small sips for now.” Wilbur took a few sips and his throat felt good enough to talk.“Look at my twin takin’ care of me,” He croaked, he sounded just as sick as he felt. His throat, once clammy, was soothed, for now, but he knew it wouldn't be long until it acted up again.
Techno's lips had a light twitch, like he found the joke funny but refused to admit it, “Bruh, if you wanted me to take care of you so much, why didn’t you call me? You’re more than welcome to call me for anything."
Wilbur cringed. He had thought about it, but he didn’t want to be a bother. No one wanted to take care of a sick person-especially one as stubborn as him.
He ignored the fact that Techno still had to take care of him, even if he didn’t call.
