Kara hums. “I sure as hell do.”
Lena shifts slightly. “You’re not supposed to.”
Kara turns her head and looks at her with that maddening, grounded affection she seems to carry in surplus. “It sounds like a thunderstorm. Luthor. It’s badass. If I can ever get you to marry me, I’m using that name.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“I’m serious.” Kara props herself up on one elbow. “It’s powerful and sharp and dramatic. I love it.”
“You love me.”
“I love both,” Kara says, dragging a finger down Lena’s sternum, soft but certain. “But the name is really hot.”
OR
Lena's exes have never quite understood her, so when Lena starts dating Kara and notices she's in no shape or form intimidated or scared by what she sees, by who Lena is, the Luthor magnate is baffled.

Kara’s eyebrows shot up in intrigue, but she kept her face neutral, not wanting to spook Lena. “Go on.”
Lena’s cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink. “It’s not that there’s anything wrong with it. You’re incredible, Kara. We’re incredible. I just… I keep thinking about this… idea. And I can’t get it out of my head.”
Kara leaned closer, her grin widening. “An idea? Do tell.”
Lena squirmed under Kara’s teasing tone, her hands fidgeting with the hem of the blanket. “I want you to wear a… ghostface mask.”

Naturally the internet sleuths figure out that Lena Luthor owns the exact same shade, and the masses delight at this turn of events. Kara....isnt so sure. Yeah, it would be great if Supergirl and Lena dated, except she is Supergirl, and she certainly isnt in love with her best friend. Turns out, only one of those was true.
