Carlisle frantically kissed down his neck, focusing on sucking as much blood to the surface as possible, without breaking skin. Charlie tilted his head, giving the other better access. He was never one to leave hickeys, but the good doctor could not get enough of them. By the end of the night, he would be covered in bruises and the thought made his pulse quicken. Everyone would know what had happened and the creatures in the town would be able to smell their actions.

In which Arthur asks an objective question, Merlin absolutely won't answer (even if he promised), and neither of them wants to back down.

It’s Arthur’s birthday, and the feast went *very* well, but the Prince Regent seemed to have drunk A BIT more than what was advisable and got a little confused as to how trousers worked – as in, they can not, in fact, be removed while wearing boots. Luckily for him (but not for Merlin), he can count on his (not) sober manservant to help handle the problem.
He should not, however, have expected the assistance not to create more problems to be solved.

Arthur doesn't want him to worry his pretty little head about where those hunches may be coming from, so he just ignores them and tries to distract Merlin.
And, yes, this may lead him to drink water for a lake the horses won't touch, and brave the forest to shoot a deer late in the afternoon, or follow the said stag as it decides to walk around a glade, and up a mound, because, what's the other option, really? Listening to Merlin?
That's something Arthur Pendragon, Crown Prince of Camelot, cannot possibly do, for very real and serious reasons he will not discuss with anyone, no.
