The teeth of the bone saw teetered on the soft yet firm flesh of Cahara’s arm, merely brushing each tip that it could that already made markings into his skin.
Stood next to him was the Dark Priest with one hand on the saw and the other that weirdly grasped lightly at the Mercenary’s infected hand with his fingers intertwined.
What stood out to Cahara the most was what the Priest had said then, only mere moments before where they were now. ‘It’s my pleasure’.

Summary
Zhongli had been carefully watching a certain bird circle around a particular area for multiple minutes at a time, his curiosity beginning to pique.
Once the bird had disappeared from his gaze, he soon found himself searching for it, perhaps not the greatest decision he's made so far.
In the middle of wandering towards the run down structure, Zhongli caught himself with a slight feeling of disappointment of himself of how gullible he's currently been.
Though it didn't stop him from approaching the old building, the sense of blood had his pace quickened.

Summary
The Narrator’s gaze laid on a silhouette on a person, not being able to stop it as he felt as if he couldn’t properly breath anymore. Their tanned skin was glistening through the shimmering, cold, sea—curly, dark, brown, hair that dripped drops of water that returned in the depths of the deep ocean. How could a person like them exist and be so glorious and eminent? As The Narrator continued to stare at the man he noticed more details he had no idea of how he missed them earlier.
As this was no ordinary man lost at sea, but a merman that had brightly colored scales.

Already said my thoughts in the comments but just in case sleep deprived me in the near future needs any convincing to come back here again, this was just plain wonderful.
I found myself reading chapter after chapter absolutely loving these characters. Definitely ranked somewhere top 5 in my favorite of all fanfics.
