Summary
A young woman is dead, the accused claims innocence, and the guard company of the town of Finley, just down the road from the convent of Saint Ursa, is as bewildered as the local Temple of the White Rat. It's not too surprising that they seek the help of the only paladin available.

Summary
Seth side-eyed Iris, then snorted a laugh when she made a talking motion with her hand. “Uh huh.”
« Iris, I saw that. My point is, it is frankly insulting that you immediately assume I did something bad— »
“Peri broke protocol on its last cargo run,” Iris interrupted loudly.

Dr. Ayda Mensah isn't sure what to expect on the other side of that wormhole. A hostage situation? An active battle ground? The corpses of her friends and family?
What she expects certainly isn't this.

Summary
The general author's note for Halo Fifteen, of which this is part 10, says (in part):
"It’s Pride month. The LGBTQ+ community’s ongoing battle for equality has come so, so far, especially in the last 20 year ... It was hard being young and queer in the 1990s, but that time period was pivotal; dusk was falling on what being queer had always been. It was the end of small pockets of queerness, of gay districts and questionable bars and kids not having anywhere to turn for help... In honor of #Pride2017 ... I’m going to use the internet to take a jump to the left and time warp Scott, Mitch, and the gang back to the mid 90s. Only the wealthy had cell phones, the internet was rudimentary and haphazard, and the music was amazing. The experiences in this series will reflect experiences I personally had or that friends of mine had in the queer community during that time.
"This is more than a love story."
