Harry is in his thoughts a lot of the time not paying attention to his surroundings. He's hoping to have a calm year but that would be a lot to ask for. He is fourteen and should be thinking about other things than people trying to kill him, right? But he's not very good at thinking about other things.
Basically a slow burn Harry/Cedric. Harry is in a constant crisis as every bi is and needs a hug. And Cedric is a very kind gentle boy who deserves a lot of love.

Ron is worried about his best friend after the aftermath of the Triwizard Tournament and he is determined to do something. So, he decides to break all the rules set by Dumbledore and, with the help of the twins, brings Harry to the Burrow. From there on, he refuses to leave Harry's side and makes a resolution to be there for the other boy. It is not an easy task, as Harry is struggling. And, somewhere along the way, Ron is not sure when, Harry became the only thing Ron cared about.

“Hey, guys, maybe give him a second, alright?” Eddie said gently, his voice felt like a cool cloth on a feverish forehead, Steve could have easily sighed in relief and relaxed into it.
“A second?” Jonathan said, his voice louder and rougher than Eddie’s, Steve could imagine him gesturing wildly around them just from the way he was speaking. “I don't know if you noticed, Munson, but we’re currently embedded in some freaky flesh-wall-thing.”
“You’re totally right, Byers, I hadn’t noticed that,” Eddie said, slightly sharper but still quiet enough not to cause Steve any pain. “Guess I missed the entire crash, lucky me.”

Unfortunately, what tumbled out of his big, stupid mouth instead was, “I like you.” It was as if the words had slipped out without his permission, tripping over his tongue and falling flat into the thick, awkward silence that followed.
Or, after the first task, Ron’s attempt to apologise went completely sideways—he accidentally blurted out that he fancied Harry instead.
