“Wait what? Why were you waiting for Ilya in the quad?”
Shane looked at him like he was stupid. “To bring me my drink? I just said that.”
Hayden huffed, “Yes, I get that. But. You and Ilya are broken up? So why would he still be getting you a coffee?”
Shane frowned, “Ilya always gets me my iced brown sugar shaken espresso before English Lit. He passes the cafe on his way from his regular math class to his fancier math class and since this class is nearby, he gets me a drink.”
“Shane.” He never made things easy for Hayden. “I get that. But you are no longer in a relationship with Ilya. Normally when two people break up, they do not continue the cute traditions they made while they were dating.”
“Oh.” Shane scrunched up his nose like he was seriously thinking about this. “Well, it’s really inconvenient for me to go to the cafe between this class and my last class, so I think I’ll just keep accepting the drinks from Ilya. Thanks for the concern though,” Shane said genuinely.

“I know you said you couldn’t do this week,” a woman was yelling from outside, “but I have to take an extra shift, and Magda is away. Ilya! Are you th-” She paused upon finally stepping inside, a colourful backpack hanging over her shoulder and a bag in her hand. “Oh.”
Shane could hear Rozanov scrambling behind him, probably wiping his stomach off and pulling his clothes out of their rumpled sex state, before he stepped into view of the door.
The small child who had been staring at Shane with her gigantic blue eyes turned at the movement, and her face split into a wide grin. “Papa!”
Picking up right after the tuna melt scene Shane is confronted with Ilya Rozanov's secret child, a move that everyone except for the child is embarrassed and awkward about.
