Frank isn’t surprised when he opens the door to find Gerard inviting himself in as if it was already his room and he’d just misplaced the keycard. Frank isn’t surprised when he finds himself not protesting in the slightest, even though he has to leave for the airport in a few hours to catch his flight home.

Frank didn't know what the hell had just happened, he'd never felt anything like that before; not for a long time at least and the last time he'd felt something like it, it nearly destroyed him. The reminder haunted him every day, cursed him almost, like he was destined to never feel true happiness anymore. The thought alone of allowing himself to potentially be so brutally hurt again scared the hell out of him.

What was supposed to be a nice road trip takes a turn for the worse when the gang gets stuck in a strange little town in the middle of nowhere, Ohio. As they're forced to relive the same week over and over again, the guys begin to notice even more disturbing details of life in Cedar Creek. Something is lurking in the fields at night, the local priest is hiding some terrible dark secret, and sometimes people disappear without a trace after the time loop resets, and nobody in town seems to notice that.
Frank knows there must be a way out of this hell they're stuck in. The main question is, how much is he willing to sacrifice to finally leave?

Gerard gave a miserable little laugh when he saw his expression and dropped his eyes towards his hands. "When we were kids. Remember when I stopped holding your hand?"
Of course Frank remembered. He'd forgotten teachers' names and birthdays and entire months of being thirteen, but he remembered Gerard ripping his hand away in the middle of the street.
"I went home and prayed about it," Gerard continued, picking at the cuff of his sleeve. "Asked God to forgive me."
Frank stared at him. "For holding my hand?"
Gerard finally met his eyes. There was something painfully young in his expression. "For wanting you to do it again."
