Shane shrugged, "Yeah, just dragging a—uh applesauce. I'm tired lately. Maybe I'm coming down with something."
"Hmm," said Ilya, looking thoughtfully up at Shane. "You take a nap, moya lyubov. Vityok," he raised his voice slightly to get Viktor's attention. "You want to go to the park with Papa?" Viktor toddled up nodding, and dumped several smashed blueberries into Ilya's lap. "Oh. Thank you for picking up your berries like a big boy."
"We'come," said Viktor seriously.

"Oh why stop at five?" said Shane sarcastically. "Let's have ten babies."
"A dozen babies," Ilya countered. "They can play against each other."
Shane laughed, "Great, a dozen babies. Perfect. We'll have two tiny little hockey teams, and I'll give birth in a big box in the mudroom. Oh!"
"Contraction?"
"No," Shane reached for Ilya's hand and pressed it to his belly. "He was asleep from the walking, but he must have heard you. He's kicking like crazy."

After a shitshow of an evening in a Montreal nightclub, Ilya wakes up the next morning in Shane’s bed. Only, he’s not in Shane’s bed — Rose Landry is, and he’s in Rose Landry’s body, and she’s in his. Well, what the fuck are they supposed to do with that?

In an AU where Shane joins the Montreal Metros the same year he's drafted, Ilya stays in Russia and Shane is pretty pissed off about it. “That’s tomorrow, Rozanov,” Hollander says, smirking like Ilya might be fucking with him and he wants to make sure he’s in on the joke. He looks behind and around him. “Um, can I come inside?”
“Hollander, we have game today. You were here yesterday.”
Hollander is striding toward his kitchen, looking over his shoulder at Ilya like he’s getting tired of the joke. “Very funny. I was in Montreal yesterday, Rozanov.”
“Hollander.” Ilya goes to stand in front of him. Hollander’s eyes flicker up and down his body the way that Ilya usually craves, but is rather unwelcome right now. “Today is Thursday. Game is today. Yesterday, you came to my house. We ate tuna melts, watched Buffalo game. Then, you left.”
“Rozanov, it’s Wednesday morning. And I’ve never been to your house before.”
“Hollander…”
“Look at your phone if you don’t believe me.”
Ilya snorts like a bull and pulls his phone out of his pocket, swipes down on the screen to look at the date.
