He bends over the fountain, submerging the pitcher. I can’t get myself to stop staring at the curves, the hard ridges, the slutty way in which his red chiton drapes over his body. Damn good-looking specimen, I’ll admit. I’d be an idiot not to recognise it.
Him along with Amphinomus are pretty handsome. I guess it’s just that the brown-haired one has more of a cuddly bear charm to him. I’d do them both. Whatever though, there’s a sea of men out there who aren’t out to court my mother. There are better pickings.

When he finally did though, he got up and set his books on his desk, changed into his nightwear, meticulously took off all of his jewelry. And slipped into bed.

He's not a good person. He's not. It doesn't matter how this looks to anyone else, Telemachus knew better. He wasn't doing this out of goodwill. He was being fully selfish, actually. If it were for him, he would've left the creature laying where he found it and let it die by hunger or something eventually. The reason he's bringing it to his room, hidden from everyone else, it's only so he doesn't get punished (or even executed) if someone ties the death of this thing to him.
Surely that has to be the reason for this whole mess... right?

Summary
Telemachus doesn't know what prompted him to convince his father to spare Antinous, but he did, and now he doesn't know what to think.
Meanwhile, Antinous is thinking all about the throne. Originally, he thought that since Odysseus was back the throne was off limits. But if he married Telemachus—the *prince*—then he would be king.
The plan was simple: Get "little wolf" to fall in love, get married, become king. How would Antinous make Telemachus fall in love? Sex and manipulation, of course. All he had to do was seduce the prince, love him like he didn't care, all while peppering in words that would ensure Telemachus would begin having some conflicting feelings.
...It would have been simple. If Antinous didn't catch genuine feelings.Either way, he'd be king. One way or another.
