He just hadn’t expected it to happen quite so spectacularly.
The initial idea, prompted by a suggestion from an older noblewoman who’d commissioned him for something completely different, wasn’t bad at all. He’d been working on a set of singing stones, and the lady had made an offhanded comment about the potential of magic that could make an object resonate. She’d meant it as a joke, but where she saw humor, Olruggio saw potential—and told her as much.
And just like that, he’d had a commission. And a problem.

First of all, Kunikida woke up late. Then he felt a hungover starting to haunt him. Then he felt confused and anxious, because he woke up on some mattress in the filthiest room he had ever visited. Finally, the worst thing happened – he realised who he woke up next to and remembered everything that had happened the previous night.

The pages are piling up around him and I’m afraid he’s going to run out of paper soon! I don’t know what’s gotten him so obsessive but I’m really worried!”----
