He heard her soft voice against the winds, and he had to know, “Why?” he softly asked as he looked into those hazel pools that have seen so much more than he could ever imagine, “Why do you do this?”
She sighs, suddenly feeling the years bearing down on her. “My life has been long. My only family is dead, and my friends are gone. My home is nothing but a crumbled ruin now.” She took a breath and looked into his eyes, “You have a chance to live a life with your family. I want to make sure it stays that way even if I must lose my own in the process.”
A different take on the Quest as well as a certain twist to everything we thought we knew.

Sam thought that once he'd left the Grid with Quorra, it'd be for good.
That is, until he starts having nightmares of drowning in the Sea of Simulation, and he realizes that some things don't deserve to stay buried - even if they are presumed to be dead.

Din is having a great day; Grogu is sick, Paz is arguing with Bo-Katan again, and The Armourer has locked herself away in her forge for whatever reason. Not to mention all of Mandalore has decided today is the day to have a crisis.
He should have expected today to get worse when the Darksaber started talking in riddles, and reports of six sickly looking children biting people started turning up on his desk. Honestly, he really should have connected the dots sooner.

John-117 was having a great day. Being tossed through a portal onto a random planet, with two of his (now alive) dead teammates, and his four traumatised SPARTAN companions. He was also on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Sam-034, meanwhile, was having an argument with the voice in his head, which seemed insistent on him learning a nice sounding language called Mando'a, and trying to get him to sleep a full nine hours.
