After the Qliphoth disaster Dante finds himself once more in hell, this time however with a certain someone as company. Having to redo that ordeal with Vergil around should mean it will be an easy trip, right? After all, there's nothing that could possibly challenge both Sons of Sparda at the same time!
Only, things are more complicated than they seem. Between his own hangups, a brother he sometimes barely knows and the underworld's sinister workings, Dante should maybe start wondering if he'll make it back home at all.

Dusk had crept upon them, and the choice loomed over the horizon.
Would they take the leap and traverse the Seas? Or would they stay back among the ruins of what had been and fade into history? This choice, however, had never been theirs.
Too soon, they had been pulled apart from what had always been familiar, from what had once been home to cross the Sea, to walk blindfolded over a tightrope and try not to stumble. And so, they had set forth, weary elves burdened with the weights of their regrets, their thoughts, and of the silences left festering.
Alternatively,
The last of the elves set sail to the Undying Lands, to face uncertainty.
Glorfindel arrives in a world he thinks he knows, where he becomes a mystery.
Thranduil has his words caught in his throat, words eating out at him while silences linger.
Ecthelion vows to hold on this time around, but the face from his memories has returned remade, yet unchanged.
Erestor once spoke without thought, and in what followed, lost his words.
Elcallon has so much to say, he reaches and reaches, for someone who hides.Or,

Legend crosses his arms. “You know what, we might just head up to that dungeon. So, got anything else to tell us?”
“Me? Oh, no – just don’t trip, the cliffs here are a pain in the rain. Watch your step. Potions don’t help in the long run, you know.” The merchant slaps their notepad on the counter, and Legend sees their hands are as cluttered with rings as Legend’s own, protective and not, polished silver and gaudy gold and plain metal bands with and without stones. Even a ring like Legend’s that shifts colors if you will it – and Legend revises in his head, she.
or: will Legend ever lay down his sword?

“Is that hair potion?” exclaims Hyrule.
Wind, in horror, jerks around to see Warriors stuffing several bottles from the shop into a paper bag. “Of course it is,” says Warriors. “Now, let’s get going.”
And the horrors continue: the one person everyone was relying on to complain about having to dress up for Warriors' court, Legend, does nothing. Worse than that, he smirks at the rest of them, flipping back a tress of his discolored hair over his shoulder as Warriors comes to inspect him. “Well?” he says.
“...I suppose,” Warriors allows. “You do have a sense of style.”

Summary
Long before Aragorn, there was another son of both royal lines who wandered the Wilds of Eriador. Prince Aranarth of Arthedain has lost his mother, father, brother, and city. He survived the Witch-King's attack, and returned to defeat Angmar outside of Fornost with Gondor's help, but at what price? What befell the exiles of Numenor as they abandoned their city for camps in the wilderness? How did they become so feared in their own land?
This is a series of adventures and snapshots of the life of Aranarth, Heir of Isildur, and first Chieftain of the North. Featuring: soldiers learning how to become Rangers, elves teaching men, dwarves becoming neighbors, hobbits being hobbits, Bree-landers being oblivious, wights, orcs, and beasts attacking, Gandalf playing with fire, and the Dunedain of the North adjusting to their new lives.
