“You have a pet dragon.” Minho boldly declares, searching his new neighbor’s face for a reaction.
“Oh wow, I wish,” Jisung laughs. “Could you imagine? That would be so cool!” Minho has to give him credit—Jisung doesn’t even bat an eye before smoothly responding.
“Okay,” Minho says, drawing his next words out in eager anticipation. “Then what exactly is splashing around in your backyard pool?”
(Minho is intrigued by his new neighbor. He doesn’t expect his curiosity to rope him into the daunting task of dragon-sitting, and he certainly doesn’t expect to fall for both his neighbor and the dragon along the way.)

Summary
Minho's used to silence. He's used to the way the villagers avoid his eyes when they visit him asking for help, the way they look at him with fear and distrust when they think he can't see. He's used to his world being the sprawling garden within the old ivy-covered iron fence and the familiar warmth of the cottage. He's used to it just being him, his cats, and the old journals.
It isn't until a villager somehow wanders into the garden despite the enchantments that he's faced with how unbearably isolated he's become, or how hard it is to open up to someone after years of being alone— or how freeing it is to know someone understands him.

“Well, I've never seen you here before.”
“Because you know all of their wedding guests?”
Jisung has to laugh. “I know most of Hyunjin’s side,” he says.
“Well obviously I’m a friend of Seungmin’s.”
Jisung pauses to stare, eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Yeah,” he plays along. “But you’re new.”
Minho chuckles. “You keep saying that. What does that mean?”
“I mean that you’re new. Here. Today. New. I’ve experienced this wedding over thirty times now and—” his breath hitches because he really just said that out loud, but there’s an immediate flicker in Minho’s eyes that has him exhaling with relief.
“Oh. Well.”
alternatively: In which Jisung gets stuck repeating the day when his best friend gets married, only to meet a brand new friendly face a month into the grueling experience.

Bang Chan is an old vampire who very much enjoys his comfortable and uneventful lifestyle. After a business deal gone awry, he finds himself in the middle of a territorial feud with another clan of vampires. Changbin convinces Chan to acquire a human to feed from in order to get his physical strength up and stress levels down. What neither of them take into consideration is that the blood donor appearing on their doorstep might prove to be much more than an expensive dinner.
“Being a vampire is in itself a metaphor for queerness,” Chan says, shrugging his shoulders. “Gender has little to do with bloodlust.”

“You come climbing down the fire escape to invade my privacy by knocking on my window to ask for a favour?” Minho asks incredulously. He immediately goes to push the window down to shut it, but the stupid thing always gets stuck when he opens it. This is why he rarely opens his window. God damn it.
The stranger makes perfect use of his delay, hopping in place with the franticness of his words. “Please! I can’t go through my own apartment, my roommates are fucking on the couch."----
5 times in which Jisung climbs down the fire escape, and 1 time Minho climbs up it.

Jisung blinks at him, shock all over his face. Minho looks down at where his wrist is held loosely in Jisung’s grasp. He could pull himself out, if he wanted to.
“I’m sorry—You have trouble with that?” His mouth hangs open in disbelief, eyes wide, “You mean to tell me there’s not a line of people who want to sleep with you?”

The man stumbles away from Minho with a hand gripping the junction of his neck and shoulder. Minho’s jaw feels sore, as if he clenched his teeth too hard.
Oh my god I just bit a fucking vampire. Is all Minho can think as he stares at the vampire dude—who could just be another one of the junkies that lives around the corner, but those fangs look pretty damn real.

His dad's girlfriend was sweet for wanting to help Minho find a boyfriend, going as far as roping her own daughter into bringing over a friend for him to connect with. She meant well, she did.
So maybe that’s why he said it. It was true that he didn’t have time for dating with graduation so soon, but he definitely didn’t have time to disappoint Dahyun, who patted the top of his dad’s head like they were teenagers, Dahyun who managed to place an uncharacteristic pink blush across his dad’s cheeks.
“I’m dating someone,” he’d said.
And without further question or doubt, Dahyun replied, “Oh, then bring him to scary movie night with you. If in the horror movie of our life we decide he dies later than your dad, I approve.”
