Summary
Set before the events of the TV series.
During a routine solo mission in Brooklyn, Alec Lightwood intervenes in what appears to be an unauthorized warlock ritual. When the magic collapses, the warlock’s body dies—but his consciousness does not.
Bound to Alec in the aftermath of a failed spell, the presence becomes a silent companion inside his mind: observant, restrained, and unexpectedly compassionate. As Alec continues his duties as a Shadowhunter, the voice challenges the harsh standards he imposes on himself, forcing him to confront guilt, exhaustion, and a lifetime of self-denial.
This subtle internal shift reshapes Alec long before he meets Magnus Bane—softening his edges, loosening his rigid control, and changing the way he sees both himself and others. When the events of the series finally begin, Alec is no longer quite the same man the world expects him to be.
A story about self-awareness, quiet transformation, and how being truly seen—sometimes from within—can change everything.

And somewhere between the walls, between fear and impulse—
they meet in the middle.

After Sirius’s death, Harry’s grief doesn’t come in waves—
it erupts. With his magic growing unstable and dangerously reactive, Professor McGonagall intervenes with an unusual solution: private Ancient Runes lessons. The problem? His tutor is Theodore Nott—quiet, sharp-eyed, and the last person Harry wants anywhere near the storm brewing inside him.
But Theo’s expertise runs deeper than textbooks and sigils. His family has practiced runic magic for generations, and he recognizes the cracks forming in Harry’s core magic… because he carries a few fractures of his own.
Thrown together by necessity, the two boys begin a tense study that slowly unravels into vulnerability, reluctant understanding, and an intimacy neither of them expects. As their magic intertwines, they are forced to confront what breaks them—
and what might hold them together.A slow burn about grief, healing, and the dangerous power of being truly seen.

Summary
“After all of that,” Leon finally says, like he’s fighting back a throat-clearing, “Don’t you think you deserve the rest?”
Bryan thinks on those twisted words. They bundle themselves up, cosy in his ear. What does he deserve?
And the warmth of Leon’s hand is an unmistakable fire beneath his skin. Where his fingertips had drug across is a trickle of electricity all the way down his spine, lingering in the dimples at his back. But it just as soon runs cold as Leon quickly pulls his hand away.
He leaves Bryan like that, in the bitter silence, his head full of thoughts but resting in a brilliantly soft pillow.

Summary
“If you did play chess," Ross said, "you’d remember that a pawn can become a queen. The most powerful piece on the board, Parker, remember that? But—” Ross smiled— “only if it obeys.”
He adjusted his tie, stood, and looked down at Peter. “I’ll ask you again,” he said. “Eventually. You may feel differently after you’ve been living in a six-by-six cube without sunlight or fresh air for a few years.”
“What pawns do,” Peter said, voice shaking slightly, “is sacrifice themselves for the greater good. I have no regrets.”
He had a lot of regrets.
Like, a lot. A crapton. A shitload. An overloaded dumpsterful.
“When I visit you on the Raft,” Ross said, “you’ll be old enough to grow a beard.” The cell door clicked shut behind him.
