Charmer doesn't object to Deacon's company. It's hard to think of anything but this… this fucking cancer growing inside her, but he manages to take her mind off it every now and then. He makes her laugh with stupid jokes and absurd commentary, as though he’s the wacky narrator of their shitty, shitty lives. It's a short-lived reprieve from the inevitable spiral she finds herself falling back into. She escaped, but she's still there in the same room. They're still laughing. And they're starting to sound just like him.

Summary
You've been through some shit. It's to be expected. You're well over two hundred years old.
You're the sole survivor of your vault. Shockingly, things didn't go to plan. So you wander the wastelands, kicking ass, taking names, cashing in on caps and fighting your conscience every step of the way. You've had centuries to learn a particular set of skills. So yes, you excel at hand-to-hand, can cap someones ass a from a mile away in gale force winds with your eyes closed and a hand behind your back.
Until The Ghoul tries to kill you and brings your orderly, little mundane mission of wiping out the vaults, to a standstill.
You shouldn't be attracted to death. To the thrill of it.

Summary
The shaky rise of the elevator felt like the world’s worst rocking bassinet. The machinery was protesting every movement, and Sole felt inclined to agree. But suddenly, the rise stopped, and the mouth opened, and Sole was above ground once again. Oh, God, it was warm. It was excruciating. The light was too bright and Sole couldn’t open their eyes, but it was warm. It was burning. They were alive. They were so cold. They were dying.

Before the war, Sole was an independent investigator partnered up with the Boston-famous Detective Nick Valentine in a last ditch attempt to track down a serial killer and maintain the safety of the city. After the bombs drop, Sole lost everything and found themself teaming up with a strange band of survivors who took shelter in their home to do right by the Commonwealth. The fight leads them back to a familiar personality attached to a not-so-familiar face and they're left wondering if they can ever find acceptance with the only person just as haunted as they are.

Summary
When I played Falllout 4, there were two pretty big things that bummed me out, and I wished they would've explored more; A romance with Nick Valentine, and a deeper and longer delve into the "what if Kellogg was still inside Nick somewhere?"
I was seriously disappointed when they dropped that moment, the one just after the quest with doctor Amari, right before you and Nick leave the Memory Den, and then never took it ANYWHERE :(
Well..I got so frustrated that I wrote about it, so here it is, my slightly self indulgent reader insert fallout fanfic that I try waaaayyy too hard to keep accurate to the game itself. Enjoy! Or don't?
Nick Valentine and Reader are end game in this fic, but Reader will have a few flings and a slight tension with other characters as well! If all goes to plan, this will be entirely too long.
