Summary
Macaque expected his life after the Lady Bone Demon's defeat to be relatively “peaceful.” He would ignore the chaos of Megapolis and the antics of heroes.
But after MK and his friends learn the demon is multilingual, somehow Macaque gets dragged into the group…
Unable to deal with the MK Crew's invasion of his personal life, Macaque looks for an escape. Fortunately, two acquaintances assisted Macaque in planning a several-month-long vacation in Paris, France.
HOWEVER, the Travel Guides failed to mention a critical miraculous- related situation involving superpowered villains and magical heroes!!!
Macaque thought he could handle it, lie low, and evade the supernatural chaos. It wouldn't be difficult, as Megapolis normalized this type of “excitement.”
Unfortunately, Macaque accidentally catches the attention of Paris’ superhero duo, Ladybug and Chat Noir.
Now… Macaque has a new problem.

Summary
Macaque needed to get away from Megapolis, China. MK and his crew had quickly brought chaos into his life. Two demons from the group Macaque was a part of told him of how quiet Paris, France was. A place with no magic or supernatural beings to be found. Far away from Megapolis' chaos. Macaque was able to confirm their statements as the information he found supported them.
However, unknown to Macaque, no information about the miraculous and frequent Akuma attacks has leaked outside Paris, France. Macaque did not find the peace he was looking for and was dragged into the chaos of the miraculous. Macaque was often requested to be a temporary miraculous holder and hero. What made it worse was that he was presented with the monkey miraculous.
Update May 26: Timeline of story.
For the LEGO Monkie Kid timeline, this occurs after Season 3 but before Season 4.
For Miraculous Ladybug, this story takes place during Season 3. Or after Season 2, episode 25, "Catalyst (Heroes' Day - Part 1)" and episode 26, "Mayura (Heroes' Day - Part 2)."Series

“Mariquita… that’s like Ladybug in Spanish? Well, I guess I can go by Taboo, since I’m a black cat and all.” The newly dubbed Taboo said.
Mariquita sighed. “Wow, you really over-thought that, didn’t you?”
Taboo shrugged. “It's a gift.”

And then, Roadrunner’s face contorted into something Coyote had never seen on him before: anger.

Summary
Durin does not heed "curiosity killed the cat," and it was a relatively reasonable decision, given his life experiences thus far. Unfortunately, this is the one time he, perhaps, should have curbed his desire for knowledge, as he promptly lands somewhere almost completely unfamiliar, cut off from his friends and family. He adapts the ways only someone born of a Storybook can: Durin hides in plain sight, makes as many friends as possible, and does his best not to let things spiral out of control. They spiral anyways, because it's Night Raven College.
