But also trying to trust the friends he does have, protect a kid he considers a son, fall in love with an old friend and to put the past in the past but it's hard when the Rogue Avengers are breathing down his neck from afar and brings back painful memories.

After half the universe vanished—and returned at the cost of Tony Stark’s life—the Masters of the Sanctums did something radical: they told Stephen to take a break.
Apparently, saving reality came with mandatory rest.
So he left New York for somewhere quiet. Grounded. Uneventful.
Which was how he ended up in a countryside town, holed up in a small, unassuming old cabin that barely qualified as a Sanctum, with far too much silence—and an engineer who kept appearing at exactly the wrong moments, brilliant, opinionated, and entirely impossible to ignore.
Stephen would later realize that the universe hadn’t sent him there to rest.
It had sent him there to rebuild—starting with a place, and accidentally, with someone else.
