“Maybe it’s the flu, Eds.” He leans in and gives Eddie a shove. That’s it. Now everything makes sense. A joke, and the weight lifts a little. “You gonna take care of me? Kiss my forehead?”
“Fuck you. I’m never worrying about you again.”
“Oh… no…” Richie staggers forward like he’s been shot through the heart. “Tragedy! Eddie Kaspbrak doesn’t love me! What will I do now? Wait! I can always go for your mom… how’d you feel about me being your new dad, Eddie?”
Eddie stomps on his foot as hard as he can; which, honestly, isn’t very hard. He shoves his hands in his pockets and storms off toward the Derry synagogue. Richie jogs after him, acting like it’s all hilarious and wishing Stanley were done with the bird cult already. When Stan’s or anyone else is between Eddie and Richie, everything’s better. The electricity dies. The masochistic urge to confess everything shuts up. It’s just white noise. Some dumb, slightly outdated joke.
And he can finally breathe.*Or that one time I decided to rewrite It by Stephen King from Richie Tozier’s point of view, complete with flashbacks, flashforwards, and a future 1995 Derry where Richie and Eddie may or may not happen in the cutest way possible*.

“Yeah, no- I get it- I don't need anything… I- It just feels way too soon, you know?” He was stumbling all over himself to try and save the situation, backtracking a little too far that it hurts.
“Mhm.” Will finds himself humming in agreement, too stunned to do anything else as he stares at the man – how his fingers twitch in the air before balling up into fists, his whole body turning to look at him again.
He wonders if it would be the right thing to do, if it really is okay to move on with his life when he knows his sister would always be stuck in one place? It's dumb, stupid to think about, he knows that, but— Will always led his life with an infuriating strong empathy, even though he was not given an ounce of that for all that he had gone through. He couldn't help but think about her, Eleven- Jane, his sister. What she would say if she saw him.
Or: Will and Mike after the epilogue, showcasing what really happened after everything; how they struggle with the feelings of guilt and shame that come with the memory of Eleven.
Also, Will gets a boyfriend— nobody knows how to deal with it.
Nobody being everything. Everything being Mike fucking Wheeler.

Summary
Spring Break is here, and it's the Loser Club's last school break before they graduate. Eddie Kaspbrak is terrified of being left behind. All his friends have plans to leave Derry, but he is bound to be stuck with his mother for the rest of his life. So as a last hurrah and attempt to change things, he rebels. His best friend and crush, Richie Tozier ends up being his escape.
The Losers did face Pennywise in 1989, but they killed him then and he isn't coming back.

The girls have gotten mild flus and sicknesses before, sure, but all of those have been cured with some Tylenol, soup, and bed rest.
Eddie knows he should have more to say, that he should be the one comforting Richie right now. Shouldn’t his experience with Frankie have taught him something? He should be the one taking Richie’s hand and soothing his worries, telling him that everything will be okay, that Charlie will be fine.

The room is not big, but it's not small either. It doesn't look much like an office except for the crammed in desks and typewriters. The floor is wood, stained dark. Light streams in through a barely-open window, lending all of the brown a forgiving sheen of gold. The rain must have stopped.
Several of the desks are overfilled with knick-knacks and books, definitely not in a suitable state to work at. Richie and Eddie had been best friends since they were kids. Their relationship is… complicated, to say the least. It’s not like it’s even weird to them or anything. It’s not like the other losers know either. They just make out every now and then… nothing weird.
