Charlie just put his daughter to bed about ten minutes ago. She had said he didn't need to sleep next to him that night, though it didn't stop him from doing it.
What if something hurt her – it was possible for somebody to sneak in at night and plunge a sword into her body. That specific thought made his mind spiral.
Someone could maybe even take her, replace her with their missing child. If someone were to do that, he would tear them to shreds. He didn't care if their kid was missing, Juanaflippa was his kid.
OR; Charlie is unwell and mentally unstable.

How can he get in? He needs the fastest route, because if Cucurucho didn't hesitate to dig a chainsaw into his throat, the thing definitely wouldn't even have to hesitate to do it to Roier.
That makes his blood boil. The idea of Roier being injured that badly makes him want to scream.
(Or dig his fangs into someone's skin, actually. The idea of digging his teeth so deep he feels bone sounds very appetizing right now.)

Jaiden has Bobby tucked under her arm, the 8 year old scrambling to get out of her hold when he sees Roier. Jaiden laughs and puts him down, looking over to greet Roier.
“Hi, Roier.” Jaiden says, a smile appearing on her face.
OR, Roier knows Jaiden and Bobby compete with their neighbor every Christmas to see who can put up the most decorations. When Roier sees one of the neighbors for the first time, it's.. Definitely something.
