Summary
Spiders are both overlooked and feared. They spin their webs, catch their kills and move on. Some hunt, finding their prey and stalking until the kill.
Tommy’s not a Huntsman Spider anymore, though. He made sure of that when the skies bled black with smoke and the horizon was stained with orange and red.
From a class of twenty-eight to a class of one.
Or, Tommy has escaped the Red Room, only to stumble into the lives of a family of Villains, who want him to join their ranks, a corrupt businessman and his makeshift family and a bunch of Heroes, who swear they want to help him.

Everybody knew about the tiny apartment on the East End of L'manberg, hiding in a far corner of the lower districts.
A place everyone was welcome, regardless of their given title.
Where villains could come for medical treatment.
Where mafia goons and bosses could rest without the need to look over their shoulders.
Where vigilantes and heroes could have a nice chat over tea.
Where treatment (and treats) were given out freely.Where societal tags (and their due expectations) were shot and murdered at the front door.
And if you ignored this rule, you too were shot and murdered at the front door.
By whom was a gamble.Everybody knew about the tiny apartment on the East End of L'manberg.
Everybody also knew that if you touched any of the occupants, well...

Summary
It had been Tommy and Tubbo for practically forever. They clawed their way out of hell together. They discovered their superpowers together. They started working for the Superhero Guild together before even coming of age. Tommy probably owed Tubbo his life ten times over. So, when the three supervillains he'd been assigned to bring in managed to take Tubbo hostage, well, there was really only one thing to do.
He knew, of course, he was signing himself up for torture and death by offering that trade, but that was okay.
It'd have to be okay.

“Something has been stolen from us,” Thanatos said, his wings puffing up as he spoke. “Something that is very important to us. And we are fairly certain that the person who stole this thing of ours is in this very crowd.”
Dream tensed beside Tommy as the crowd broke out into murmurs. Eyes were darting towards the different heroes in the crowd, the benefactors no doubt assuming that the culprit had to be a hero.
“Like we said, we haven’t crashed your party to cause trouble. But we want this thing returned to us, and we won’t hesitate to take extreme measures to get what we want.”
or, Tommy was a lot of things: a newly debuted hero sidekick, an amnesiac, and a former kidnapping victim of the Syndicate.
Tommy didn't actually remember that last one though. That was just what Dream told him.
Only weeks after his hero debut, the Syndicate announces they are searching for something, and Tommy knows it has to be him. The scariest part? If they find him, Tommy will have no clue what to expect, because the Syndicate might know him, but he has no memories of them.
So he can't let them find him. No matter what.
Of course they end up finding him anyway.

Summary
Tommy was many things: feared, free, powerful… but he wasn’t proud.
He wasn’t proud of the title he had or the name they’d called him, honestly he didn’t think he deserved it. Tommy never had an evil plan, or a secret lair, or any of the cool things villains had. All he had was a shitty apartment and the clothes on his back, and a desire for more.
He couldn’t be a civilian, and he certainly wouldn’t be a hero, so he did what he had to do.
At fifteen years old, Red Death killed the top heroes in L’Manburg, and Tommy became a villain.
Or: Two years ago, the top heroes of L'Manberg were killed by Red Death. Now, ex-villain Tommy tries to juggle the fallout while also forging new relationships, some of which may be more complicated than they seem.

They seem to realise what they’re doing at the exact same moment. Tubbo yanks his hands away, like he’s been burned. Tommy flinches away in turn.
“You’re supposed to be dead,” Tubbo repeats.
Tommy, unable to help himself, dryly replies: “Yeah, I’m starting to gather that.”
Tubbo reels back and punches him, hard, right in the eye.
So, some things could go through the green glass door. Grass, but not flowers. A happy person, but not a sad one.
or: tommy is tired enough before his dead best friend breaks into his home.

Out of his hero-gear, Techno should look just as intimidating as when he’s in it. He’s still absolutely massive, built in such a way that he could crush someone’s skull with just one hand. The absence of a mask means nothing, either, not when it gives direct access to stoic eyes, or the scars and battle wounds that nick at Techno’s jaw and stretch down the side of his nose.
Besides. Techno doesn’t need his costume to demand the obedience of the darkness.
Still. Still.
Tommy can’t be scared—not of this. Not when Techno’s hands are occupied with takeout bags, or when he’s wearing glasses low against his nose, or when his eyes meet Tommy’s and the corners of his mouth lift slightly. “Got takeout.”

Tommy is living a double life: at home, he spends time with his...mentor? Techno. At night, he goes out as the vigilante Flare.
It would be a lot easier if Techno wasn't the hero hunting him down. Oh—and if Techno didn't absolutely hate Flare.
But Tommy is determined to keep up the lie. He'll be fine! Right?
