Summary
What I wanted to write was a quick one-shot that explored the idea of Harry being the biological son of Voldemort, only Voldemort doesn't know he has a son and is also as evil as ever. Meanwhile, Harry is just a charismatic kid with a snake and ridiculously powerful magic.
It turned into a series rewrite.
Here's book three.
Features: pretty much everyone having a horrible year. Really, I'm trying to think of someone who has a good year and I can't think of ONE.
Also features: Harry Potter discovering teenage rebellion (and Merlin capitalizing on that fact); Remus Lupin being the best damn DADA Professor Hogwarts has ever seen; Ron Weasley living in the state we call denial and making it everyone else's problem; Hermione Granger planning a murder; Sirius Black, who just wanted to kill ONE RAT, how has it spiraled this badly; a catastrophic miscommunication; Tom Riddle trying to keep his idiot relative alive (it should not be as hard as it is but here we are); and a Theodore Nott that's- well. You'll see.
(Alternative title: Draco Malfoy and the Almost Entirely Off-Screen Adventure, Except For When He Wants to Bother Harry)

Features: a Harry Potter making a ridiculous amount of terrible decisions; an exhausted Remus Lupin that did NOT sign up for this but by god will he be there for Harry anyways; a Severus Snape who didn't actually think this year could be worse then last year and is proven wrong in a big way; Dumbledore being awful; and Harry's snake Merlin, who just wants to play quidditch ONE TIME.

Features Harry Potter trying to keep his friends from doing crimes, a tired Remus Lupin spontaneously adopting a traumatized child with absurd magical capabilities, Severus Snape doing the bare minimum which is still somehow more than what Dumbledore is capable of, and Harry's friends' growing exasperation with Harry's terrible decision-making skills.

As usual, Merlin has utterly failed in keeping a low profile by inadvertently getting himself dragged into a mess of a situation that appears to have something to do with a seemingly unkillable snake man, a toad woman, an order of phoenixes, and a boy named Harry Potter who, he quickly finds, is equally bemused by his current predicament. When he discovers how lost the boy is, he resolves to help him and his friends get rid of this dark lord--as well as their malignant (and worse, ineffectual) new teacher.

I LOVE THIS SM, seriously one of the best merlin fics i have ever read and def one of the best HP fics i have ever read. The ending was sooo good, i cried. (But happy tears.) Extremely well written♡♡♡

Summary
Rose Potter spent twenty-one years as the Chosen One. Reborn as Harry Potter's twin, he alone has the scar after that Samhain night.
