Summary
Two years after the death of Palpatine and the revelation of his grand conspiracy, the Republic under Padmé Amidala is still struggling to escape his legacy. The Chancellor sends Jedi Knights Barriss Offee and Ahsoka Tano to investigate reports of a massive construction project around Geonosis, which seems to have some connection to the inflated budget of the Strategic Advisory Cell. Meanwhile, Wilhuff Tarkin has managed to make his way to the top of the Republic Navy despite his alleged ties to Palpatine, and is now seeking out allies to bring the New Order he was promised by Palpatine to fruition by any means necessary.

Dex has been an active observer in a lot of rebellions. He knows all about ghosts. He’s acquired a lot of them in his time.
The galaxy hasn’t been at peace for a long time, now. An entire generation and a half has been raised with the Clone Wars and the Galactic Empire.
But even with the shadows of the past in every booth, in the familiar orders flowing into the kitchen, in the beleaguered faces that he leads to the back room, past the bathroom and accessible only through the walk-in freezer, he is unprepared for this specter.
She has dark hair and eyes and the air around her vibrates with a righteous stubbornness and an intensity he’d only ever seen in a handful of Jedi…and Padmé Amidala. He nearly calls her name before he remembers reality (she’s dead, he’d watched her funeral seventeen years ago along with three-quarters of the galaxy’s population, dead with her babe unborn) and stills his tongue before he can greet her shade.

I’m Vex Mercer, twenty-one, third-year Gale City University problem child, and somehow I’ve ended up with a very serious crush on my project partner.
Her name’s Fiona Walsh. She’s quiet, brilliant, painfully polite, and exactly the sort of girl who should know better than to waste her time on me. We got shoved together for an end-of-year project, I treated it like a joke, she ended up doing most of the work, and we were barely on speaking terms for months.
Then one night, during a storm, at a bus stop. She helped me through something ugly without even knowing it was me.
Which is, frankly, where my life starts going to hell.
After that I can’t look at her normally. I keep trying to act like myself—loud, sarcastic, vaguely threatening, hot enough to be forgiven for some of it—but now I’m also showing up for the project, accidentally defending her in public, and having a deeply embarrassing amount of feelings about the way she says thank you.
So basically: I was supposed to coast through uni smoking, swearing, and doing the bare minimum. Instead I’m stuck in a group project, in emotional danger, and one soft-spoken math girl away from a complete psychological collapse.

Both eighteen, both annoyed by one another, and both contending with their insecurities and vulnerabilities, they must learn how to tolerate one another (for Qui-Gon's sake) and eventually, how to stop themselves from falling in love.
A companion piece to "Asphodel," this is my take on the Obi-Wan/Satine year on the run.

I wake up with a headache so bad I briefly consider death as a viable option, only to realize I am not in my apartment, in a suspiciously expensive bed, and completely naked.
Which is already concerning. What’s more concerning is the sound next to me.I turn my head.
There is a woman.
Also naked.We stare at each other like two people who have been placed in the wrong save file.
Neither of us remembers how we got here.When she asks if I know who she is.
I say no.
She says “good,” which is objectively the worst possible response, because apparently she also has no idea who I am.So just to recap: unknown location, unknown woman, zero memories, maximum problems.
Great start.
