Summary
Keith was Lance's greatest annoyance and biggest concern of the year with the announcement that in their final year, they are to perform as love interests in the school play. As the weeks go on, as does the production of the play, things start to change between them with unexpected revelations.

“Can’t believe we’re missing rehearsal right now,” Keith said, groaning.
“There are worse places we could be stuck,” Lance said, shrugging. “Like, for example, Ms. Sandra’s class.”
That got a good laugh out of Keith and he seemed to fully calm down. “That’s true, yeah. I guess being stuck in an elevator with Lance McClain isn’t the worst place to be.”

To have Mike at all was better than to not.

"Jordan." Her tone sharpened, but he just rolled a shoulder, gaze darting anywhere but at her.
"It’s not a big deal," he said quickly. "Seriously. Forget about it."
Marie stared, disbelief curling hot in her chest. "Not a big deal? You basically announced to half the bar that I belong to you."

They must have shifted to female in their sleep because they seem to be hanging off of Marie like a jetpack, one arm and one leg thrown over her like they’re caging her in. Golden Boy didn't kill Brink; there's no such thing as 'The Woods'; and their biggest problems are dealing with being young adults with superpowers and an inability to communicate properly.
