    Summary

Dennis had affections for humans before, here and there, but never pursued anything. He explored his sexuality a bit, as vampires were much more accepting of homosexuals than humans, but nothing serious. He knew it would never work, but something about Robby almost made him want to try. Hopefully, as time passed, he could get over his scent. It felt like the smoothest whiskey as it went into his nose, his fangs slightly protruding. He quickly took a real sip of coffee, hoping the nausea that followed would be enough of a distraction. His imagined relationship would just have to remain in his fantasy life he turned to when he was tired of being a bloodsucker, which was often. Dennis realized he had been quiet for far too long when he looked back up at Robby. He didn’t seem to mind the silence, and just watched Dennis closely. Dennis smiled up at him, and heard Robby’s pulse quicken. He was glad to know it wasn’t just him that felt this attraction, but he knew neither of them would act on it.

    Summary

Q learned quite quickly that he wasn't like other people - that he lived and died like everyone else, but remembered every lifetime before like pages in a never-ending book. He also learned quite quickly what people did with other people who were different. The one thing that made Q's many lives bearable, though, was the one soul that returned in every lifetime: James.

    There was only one problem.

James returned, time and again, just like Q did. Same blue eyes, same golden hair, same devasating smile and penchant for trouble. But James never remembered a bit of it - each life for him was his first life, and he therefore had no idea why Q would always trust him like a polestar, and grieve for him like Pompeii.

    Summary

“Baby Bird?” Jason’s voice shifted, softened into something almost fragile, as if he were speaking to a child. Maybe, in his eyes, Tim was exactly that. The familiar nickname—so wrong, so tender—sent a tremor down Tim’s spine. Jason never called him that. Jason never spoke to him with warmth.

    Jason hated Tim.

He shut his eyes tight, praying this was just a cruel dream. But then warm hands cupped his face, grounding him. A metallic clatter echoed through the cave, sharp and final. The gun had hit the floor.

“No, no, no—don’t close those blue eyes, Baby Bird. Look at me,” this time Jason’s voice cracked into a plea. Every word trembled with fear, with a need that made Tim’s chest tighten painfully. Tim bit down on a sob, the taste of salt and blood filling his mouth, forcing himself to lift his gaze and meet the toxic green fire of Jason’s eyes once more. He could feel the tremor in Jason’s hands, the way his knees pressed into the cold floor, and it made his own body ache with tension.

    Or,

Tim wakes up in Gotham, which looks too foreign, but he finds a home there.
