Summary
Edwin studies himself in the enchanted mirror, adjusting his outfit. Now that he’s wearing it all together, he thinks it turned out even better than expected. Suggestive more than outright revealing. He hopes Thomas likes it.
*********
Thomas nearly loses his breath at the sight of Edwin. He’s posed next to a low vanity table and bench, with the small enchanted mirror Thomas found for him reflecting the light of the room and the form in front of it. Thomas can’t look everywhere at once and a purr crawls out of his throat as he tries to take in every part of Edwin, on display like an offering. His long figure is a beautiful contrast of textures that Thomas aches to get his paws on.Written for the Catwin Discord's pin-up themed zine "Want and Pleasure" 💖 A teasing, sexy little piece featuring Edwin in a corset and tiny shorts, and a Cat King who appreciates this *very much.* 😉

Summary
Thomas preens under the attention while pretending to be unaffected, but the way he cuddles up right into Edwin’s space rather gives the game away. “So, what’s the case, my favourite ghost detective.”
“A fairly straightforward one. Simply returning a trinket to a loved one.” Edwin slips the silver locket out of his coat, holding it for Thomas to see. It’s a pretty piece, not overly expensive but with beautiful engraving across the front, and a lock of hair tucked inside. “Our client lost her sweetheart to a shipwreck here, and this was the last gift he gave her."

Summary
The first time Charles woke up, he thought he was seeing a ghost. A soft, posh voice was speaking to him, steady cadence and barely loud enough to be heard over other strange sounds Charles couldn’t place.
There was that voice, though. He doesn’t recognize it, but it sounds… Charles tried again to open his eyes. After what felt like ages he managed to crack his lids enough to glimpse an unfamiliar room, dimly lit and full of machines he couldn’t identify. Then he sees the boy, curled in a chair with his legs pulled up and a book propped on his knees. He’s too pale and his hair’s all tidy and it looks like he’s wearing just his long underwear or something which is a bit odd. He’s reading out loud, sounding calm and steady, but something about him still seems scared. Like he’s ready to rabbit out of the room at the slightest noise.
Ghost boy, Charles thinks in the second before his eyes close and everything falls away.
An Alive Boys AU feat. our favourite ghost boys (a little less ghostly this time) ✨

Summary
Edwin’s usually a bit more resilient, but his energy's been pretty messed up since Port Townsend. Esther’s machine really did a number on his energy and magic reserves—more than Edwin admits, but Charles knows it's true. So when Edwin exhausts himself on a case, it's up to Charles to help him rest.
Charles squeezes Edwin’s shoulders again, shifting on his knees ‘til he’s right close enough to partly block out the sight of the basement. “Eds, look at me,” he says, waiting patiently for green eyes to turn his way. Telegraphing his movements, he takes one hand from Edwin’s shoulder and presses his palm to the center of Edwin’s chest. “I’m gonna take you home, you just gotta let go for me.” Edwin’s chest heaves once, twice beneath his hand, fighting for non-existent breaths.
Strained and tired, Edwin grits out, “I can’t.” Which happens sometimes, when Edwin gets too worked up, too strung out, too in his own head; it’s like he’s stuck on high alert with no way to relax. -

Summary
Thomas is minding his own business, mildly overcaffeinated and stretched out on his favourite bench basking in the warm early-summer sun, when strong fingers wrap around his wrist and he’s unceremoniously hauled to his feet.
“Okay? Hey, hi. How about hands off the merchandise?” he snaps, stumbling to keep his footing as whoever grabbed him drags him into a quick walk. Then he looks up and gets an eyeful of exactly who disturbed his almost-catnap and immediately reassesses his reaction, voice dropping into a heated purr. “Or maybe not. Hello, handsome.” Because currently steering Thomas across the grass is the gorgeous, fascinating, extremely uptight guy that Thomas has been watching and lusting after since the start of the semester.
Tall, Sharp, and Fascinating pastes a stiff smile on his face as he stares determinedly ahead. “Play along and you’ll earn yourself a night of sex before I send you on your merry way.”
And far be it for Thomas to turn down the opportunity being laid at his metaphorical feet. He shrugs with a grin at his soon-to-be one-night stand. “Well, I’ve probably done worse things for a fuck than whatever this is going to be.”

Summary
“So basically, you stand a few feet away from each other and you take small steps forward, slowly, both at the same time, yeah? And you have to hold eye contact the whole time, that’s the important part! You walk towards each other until you meet under the mistletoe–”
“The mistletoe?!” Edwin startled. During his time it was not used for silly games, but a rather serious matter of kissing a potential match during social gatherings.“Why does it have to happen under the mistletoe?”
“Forget about that.” Charles quickly dismissed his concern. “It doesn’t really matter. The big thing is that you come really close to each other and whoever stops or averts their eyes first - loses. And the winner will get to choose our Christmas mixtape.”
---
OR: In order to choose the person in charge of their holiday music, Charles proposes a game that has them standing really close under the mistletoe, while intently looking into each other's eyes. After Port Townsend, Edwin begins to question the fairness of the game.

Summary
Edwin lifted his head to look at his legs, his eyes wide and shocked. “Charles, it hurts.”
“I know, Edwin, it’s okay, I’m gonna fix it - ”
Edwin shook his head violently. “No, Charles, I mean it hurts. It hurts me, it’s - it hurts, things aren’t supposed to hurt anymore, I don’t know what’s happening, it hurts, Charles - ”
