Was he? Tsukasa hadn't even noticed. He's sort of thankful for Rui's great power of deduction, because talking loudly a few moments ago really hurt his throat.
“Right. I'm feeling sick right now and I don't want to infect anyone else! But, I couldn't not come to practice, a star cannot abandon his troupe!”

Or, if you'd prefer, Tsukasa comes to practice sick. The others aren't happy about it, but they let him stay for the sake of the show, so long as he lays down for the duration. It doesn't go as planned. Rui carries him home.

“Am I a bad friend?” he finds himself asking Kuroo one day, on the train ride home.
Kuroo blinks, visibly surprised by the question, and immediately Kenma regrets having opened his mouth at all. “Never mind,” Kenma says, quickly cutting off whatever response Kuroo might have had to say. “It’s nothing.”
Kenma dips his head, continuing to press buttons on his little game console. He tries not to think about how Kuroo is still looking at him, even though his bangs narrow his field of vision to the point where he can’t see the other boy next to him. He’s fine, he said. And yet, because Kuroo knows him better than he’d like sometimes, he speaks up anyway.
“It’s not nothing, you know,” Kuroo says, and Kenma feels something twisting in his gut, blood rushing in his ears. “You’re not a bad friend. I don’t know what’s making you think that you are, but you’re a good friend to me, at least. And I think the rest of the team would agree.”

Or, Kenma gives in to the urge to isolate himself for a while, and Kuroo helps him out of it.
