Summary
Two thousand years ago, the Astrals bestowed upon three individuals covenants in hopes to bring peace to the star of Eos and those suffering under the plague of the Starscourge.
One healed the corruption only to become corrupted himself. Another, craving more power, usurped the throne and built a great kingdom upon a cursed line. The last watched as his brothers in arms fell to madness and power, and secluded himself in some lost crevasse of the world.
The gods, seeing their champions fail one by one, hesitate to try again.

Summary

Summary
In another life, Orochimaru never leaves Konoha, opting to remain within the village that equally reveres and reviles him. Fighting a bitter battle against forces within the village that are more influential and well-positioned, he finds himself gifted with one last shining opportunity: three children, a team of genin, handed to him because Konoha has no better choice. Orochimaru agrees to become a jounin-sensei for the first and the last time, taking on the next generation's Team Seven: Uchiha Sasuke, Nara Shikamaru, and Uzumaki Naruto.
