Summary
When he was 16, Grian fell in with a bad crowd.
For a few months, Grian's life stopped making sense, and by the time it was over he had scars, a disability, an arrest record, an expulsion, and enough trauma to fill years of therapy, if he ever went.
He did not go to therapy, incidentally, but at least he was self-aware enough to admit he probably should.
Instead, he dropped out of high school the moment he turned 18, got his GED, and became a shut-in. Going out became something he did only when necessary, and he went to great lengths to ensure it hardly ever would be. He didn't have anxiety, precisely, or agoraphobia or anything like that, he just...
Well he really didn't like the way people would look at him, when they noticed his wings.
or, Grian's best friend wants him to be more social because she's worried about him, so he becomes a streamer. Despite his best efforts, he actually ends up making more friends, and maybe heals a little in the process.

Summary
Jimmy really hated lying to his friends.
Which was weird because he was basically doing that all the time. At least normally he lied through omission, this felt a little dirtier. He hoped they wouldn’t worry about him.
He had practically begged the others to wait, even just a day, but they were determined to move now. If he had a few more hours he could handle this without getting the others involved. Of course he’d been hesitant to use his powers -showing his godly side tended to encourage cultists, even when he used it to tell them to fuck off- but obviously he wasn’t going to let Hermes get hurt.

“Jimmy! What were you thinking?” Fwhip scolded, after pulling Jimmy away from a lava lake, rushing to apply burn cream and wrap his arms up. They were burnt, blistering and red, but the sheriff didn’t feel any pain.
“I didn't notice.” He mumbled, somewhat unsure. He was burnt badly, but didn’t feel it at all.
“You didn’t notice?” Fwhip practically screamed. “What do you mean you didn’t notice? Are you in shock? Sit down, don’t move, I’ll get a healing potion!” He quickly rushed to his storage rooms, leaving Jimmy to think.
That's when he realized he could no longer feel pain.
Or-Gods words have power, even if they don't mean it. And now Jimmy's transforming into a real toy, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

He laid his hammer down, wiped the sweat from his brow to swipe it against his grimy shirt and stepped onto the sand to find the kid.
He didn’t know how he’d missed the strikingly white toga and wings on his back and feet. But his steps stuttered as rounded the corner and saw the kid. This wasn’t a kid from Tumble Town. They came from Stratos.
They weren’t just any kid either. He didn’t need to look twice to recognise the son of Joel and Sausage. Hermes.
Or, Jimmy finds Hermes in Tumble Town and promptly becomes their uncle.
