    Summary

When Duncan the Tall shows up in Lyonel’s hunting camp one evening, an injured Prince Aegon in his arms, Lyonel endeavours to keep the promise he made at Ashford. But the more Duncan looks sad and hurt like a kicked dog, the more Lyonel feels with each heartbeat as though he’s somehow the villain of this mummer’s farce.

Or: Lyonel is in love with Dunk and doesn’t handle it well. Lyonel believes Dunk was in love with Baelor and handles that even worse. And Manfred’s in love with Lyonel and may just handle that worst of all.

    Summary

Soulmark are gods given gifts and Maekar had been Baelor platonic soulmate, brother in soul, since his birth. And everyone knew you didn't kill your soulmate. You couldn't. But if you did, the one who died had three chances to change their fate. Chances but no certainty.
Baelor wakes up. Again and again. Stuck. Alone. Exhausted.
Everyone has a breaking point and he has reached his already. Yet between the gods keeping watch, a family breaking apart around him, a stubborn hedge knight and a loyal guard refusing to stand aside, Baelor may yet live his last chance to the fullest. If he can bear it.

" Let it not be said that the gods didn’t intervene when someone tried to abuse the gifts they had bestowed, because they did.
Baelor was just trying to survive. He was good, he was kind and he was- he was-
    -dying.
Maekar Targaryen was going to kill his elder brother at some point today.
Dunk would be damned if he didn’t try to save him. He refused to let Baelor go and to lose him. What did it matters that Dunk was a simple hedge knight? What did it matters that he was no one and nothing, when Baelor was trusting him?"
