Arthur could never remember the exact moment he fell in love with Merlin. Maybe because he always has been. Or maybe it was such a gradual fall, he didn’t even notice until he’d hit the bottom.
And here he is, Crown Prince of Camelot, pining after his own manservant like a blubbering fool.
The truth is Arthur had been up for half an hour. But he knows by now, if he waits long enough, Merlin will start tugging on his arm, dragging him out of the bed.
It’s stupid. It’s a stupid thing to want. It’s a stupid thing to look forward to each morning. A small, nimble hand around his wrist, pulling him into the cold of the day, and usually, onto the floor.
But Arthur doesn’t get the privilege of touch very often. That’s what it is, isn’t it? A privilege?

Summary
Somewhere in Iowa, some time around the 1960s, local farmer James T. Kirk discovers a strange alien space craft wedged into the side of his barn. Soon after he discovers a strange alien has crash landed with it. On top of that comes the revelation that the alien must occasionally consume blood to survive, and that he doesn't seem to be in a position to be picky when it comes to where he gets it from. What ensues is their best attempt to coexist until they can get his ship up and running again. Although, as far as quasi-vampiric aliens go, Spock makes for surprisingly good company.
AU where Vulcan is mid-reform, Vulcan pon farr is partially vampiric, and Spock deals with all this by eloping from his homeworld and crash-landing on Jim's farm in the midst of the blood fever. Initially inspired by a K/S Spring Fever 2026 prompt but I took forever to get around to it lol.
