After the kind-hearted Doctor of the Wild East takes interest in your ability to repair things, however, your life takes a turn for the strange and you find yourself caught up in a game very different from your time in the dumps of Waterfall.
Monster. Mechanic. Friend to the Wild East's own eccentric sheriff, one North Star, and his co-conspirator to boot. What's a poor human to do? Lie like crazy and hope things don't unravel any further than they already have.

Waking up with no memories in the home, clothes, and body of a stranger is terrifying. If your lingering impressions are anything to go by, you're not in the right time period anymore, let alone in the right world.
So why, then, does everything about your new life put you at ease? People included, despite their best efforts, and oh how they try to piss you off.

Or, everyone wakes up after the end, including the inanimate objects. This is a good thing (probably).

The pacing! The pacing!! A lot of long pokemon OC fics I end up dropping because the longer they run, the worse the pacing gets. This story doesn't have that issue and the plot is incredibly unique, with a healthy relationship as one of the core pillars- but emphatically not the only one. I really like this story.
Also, lots of very fun political commentary about the made-up pokemon-specific politics. And, you know, commentary that doesn't make me want to claw my skin off or go drown my sorrows because of the analogies to real life events.

Fun thoughts to consider are how Myst and Cynthia would look in 10 years. It's so easy to see them as this power couple, Cynthia the champion the more famous of the two, leading the charge to reform and battlefield dominance. Behind her, her retiring husband Myst and his bevy of adorable powerhouses. Can she beat him? Often enough, but oh how he makes her work for it. They balance each other out usually but every once in a while they get goofy or pissed off and hare off in a direction together, and either idiocy or awesomeness ensues. -

Summary
Dottore never bothered to deny that he was the villain. It was a role he knew well, and one he had never felt the need to question.
When an accident takes him to a world where Quirks are part of human nature and heroes are revered as symbols of peace, he finds a society fascinating for a very different reason: its rules and technologies are new.
As he studies this world and searches for a way back home, Dottore begins experimenting with what makes it different from his own. Quirks, the human body, the energy of this world… everything can become knowledge.
But his presence does not go unnoticed.
Between heroes trying to understand him, villains who see an opportunity in him, and experiments that begin to slip out of his control, an anomaly starts to alter the course of events.
After all, what happens when someone who has always been accustomed to being the villain ends up becoming one of the greatest problems hero society will ever have to face?
